Put a cold pack on it so it doesn't swell, then just put some make up on it until the bruise goes away.

Get someone to punch you in the other eye and buy an emo wig.

Hey, at least it won't look like you got beat up. I'm not a magician. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Putting highly concentrated HCL on the dark area makes it go away, probably.

a frozen steak, just like in the old days. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

seriously though, iceing it is probably the best thing as far as swelling goes. you're not going to be able to do much about color, unless you start putting make-up on or something. if you can, cavort as a battle scar rather than something blemishing your looks.

Leeches. They suck up the blood that's causing the discoloration.

And where can you find leeches in this day and age? (Really, I want to know. I've always wanted a pet leech.)

Check your nearest swamp. Or eBay.

In response to the mod announcement, I was being somewhat serious with my answer. Though I wouldn't put a leech near my eye, they do fairly well at sucking up bruises and the like. At times, they're used in surgery to clean up afterwards.

I tend to let any minor injuries heal by themselves, without any folk cures. Maybe an ice pack if it's fairly bad.

I let bruises heal with time. They really don't bother me too much, and I like to show them off and brag to my friends about how I got them.
