Super Smash Bros. Melee

OK, so with all the Brawl hype, I decided to re-vist this classic game. My question: do any of you know what Marth and Roy say? It's in Japanese so I can't tell. If you don't know, list your favorite character and tell why. I like marth. (He's faster than roy, and I think he looks cooler.)

My favorite Meleer is Shiek. I love blazing around at ninja speed, knocking things around...

Zora I think he means what they say when they win,their victory sayings. I can't he you in that department but I can tell you my favorite character. My favorite character is Samus because I love being able to battle long distnces, it just feels good to launch a super missle and then charge up my B and KO tem as thy try to return. I also lov her taunt, too bad tey take it out in Brawl. "*chink!*"
My best character in Melee was Marth though, and i'm going to try and keep him my best in Brawl.

I'll probly try to master Sonic or Metaknight, I've always favored the faster characters in fighters.

If you're looking for translation...
I think Marth, in his taunt, is saying something like "Hey, everyone, look at me!" (Although it does seem out-of-character for a hero in Fire Emblem to say something like that...)

As for favorite characters, I switch around a lot. I do tend to stick with medium/light characters, as long as they aren't Pokemon. The only heavy character I use is Ganondorf.

Marth is my best in Melee but when my friends and i play change characters after match, im usually Roy or Link

As for Brawl, im still going to stick with Marth although Pit and Meta Knight look pretty cool

SHE is one of the top 5 runners in the game, that's just on land though.

In Brawl, Ike is a very powerful character. His attacks seem to have a lot of power behind them, even on people at relatively low percentages.

I was so happy when I heard that Sheik got hit with the nerf stick, and hard. Fast characters did dominate Melee almost exclusively, and it was a necessary adjustment, really.

I am a little disappointed, though, that two of my characters of choice aren't returning, but there seem to be slightly-similar characters that are different enough from the rest of the roster, that will be really good.

Only gripe I have, right now, is the fact that there are three characters in the game with almost completely identical Final Smashes.

Falco, Wolf, and Toon Link. All three Starfox representitives have a Landmaster for a final smash but there are only slight differences between each. Oh and if you count their sayings when they summon their landmasters as a difference...

Fox: Basic, fastest.
Falco: Fly's highest and im guessing longer as well.
Wolf: Is red to imitate his arwing (Wolfen), most powerful. Lasts I believe a good 5-10 seconds less than both Fox and Falco.

Toon Link and Link's FS's are pretty much the exact same except the triforce looks different.

I guess Nintendo is guilty of Re-skinning/Cloning stuff too. Sadly, it's a bit lazy on their part, everyone's final smash should've been unique.

As far as tier balance, Brawl isn't going make perfect, as I hear some of the Final smashes are already unbalanced.

I saw the vids. of all the final smashes, Ike's looks too long. Marth's is a quick KO. Nice.
