So has anyone picked up Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney yet? I just got it today and I've been playing the hell out of it. I'm on the 2nd case so Far and I'm totally in love. Whoever does the translation for the Ace Attorney games never ceases to amaze me.

"A G ain't a G till he does hard time Boiiiiiiiiiii!"
"My panties are a magical vortex that can hold anything!"

and I still haven't gone to trial yet!

The first case was pretty amazing as well, literally turns the whole case upside down. and on a Sidenote, I love Trucy Wright.

You're damn right I got on some Ace Attorney madness. I just got finished with the first case (which was fucking epic) and I look forward to playing more. "Oh really, Orly?"

Wait, 4 is out already? Shit, I haven't even finished the last one yet. (Got bored halfway through the second case and stopped playing for a while and still haven't gotten back around to it...)

Yeah It finally went on sale yesterday in my area. I kinda understand what you mean about the 3rd game. I felt like the quality dropped compared to the first one. But I really love the characters and I was already interested in finding out what happened to them. So it really motivated me to finish the game. This new one is a return to form and much better then the original. Whoever the localization teams are they deserve an orgy of 100 virgins as their reward because they do such an awesome job on the translations and infusion of cultural references in the game. The first witness in the first game being named Orly for example.

In the third game on the last case these is also a reference to the movie 300 Where Phoenix quotes a very famous quote from the movie. It all just so well done.

I really loved how they depicted the Gangsters son in the 2nd case of this new game. It must have been quite tough getting American hoodlum slang and ebonics if they never grew up with that kind of environment. But yeah Im on my 3rd case now. Im so hooked on this game.

I've heard the last case in 3 is really good, but god, the second one is like pulling teeth. I don't want justice for the guy, I just want to sock him in the teeth and tell him to grow a pair. Time in jail or the chair would do him some good.

Some of the spoilers I've heard for the 4th one have put me off of it, but I'll undoubtedly get it eventually.

This topic needs spoiler tags. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

I can't wait till my jar of money is filled out so I'd have enough change to buy this.

The last case from Trials & Tribulations is epic &sad.

Hopefully Apollo Justice can live up to Phoenix Wright.

Does Apollo get ridiculed because of his hair? In Phoenix Wright they referred to him as porcupine head so I wonder if they say that something like that to Apollo, like "I'm going to squash you like a bug" because his hair falls down a bit &resembles <To me.> bug antennae.

I'm surprised you didn't like the client in that case Ian, I thought you would be in to those effeminate Bishonen types. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif Once you get through the case you realize the dood isn't as much as a bitch as he comes off and I thought he was a memorable character. I personally wasn't too impressed by the events that transpired in the final case for Trials and Tribulations. I think the writers where getting stuck to their old tricks and I was able to figure out what happened mostly before I even went to court. But it certainly did bring closure to the series and it was a perfect ending for the generation of that series, more or less.

I'm happy to say that the 4th is a return to form in ingenuity and wtf'ness in terms of the plot. You really can't decide who the true culprit is most of the time until the very last cross examination. I'm just finally getting started on the final case of the game. I can't wait!

To answer your question Lev, yes there are plenty of quips directed toward Apollos hair and various other fun jokes. They're much wittier in their execution of the jokes too.

Finally tbh, I actually haven't revealed any major spoilers. Real spoilers would be how things came to be how they are. since thats the real mystery of the game. Unless you're really wanting to wait to see the dialogue. Most of what has been stated about the game I said is presented the first 5 minutes of the game.

So I just beat the game. Powerful...Powerful stuff! I can't wait for the next installment in the series!

I give it 5 Guitar solos out of 5

I love this new world they've set up.

Also, if anyone is familiar with the Phoenix Wrong series from new grounds, might be interested in this. olo

Oooh, I just got it today and popped it in... is it me, or is the first defendant... Um, lets call him Kleenex Sight... waaay hotter in this one? I saw him initially and was like "Oooh, finally get to defend a hottie!" (that Masque de Masque guy didn't do it for me from the last one, nor has Maya or the Butz...) then they introduced him and I was like "WTF?!?!" Awesomeness... Too bad there isn't much replay in these games...

Man, i'm so on the fence about this one. With the awesome melodramatic ending of 3 that was way Japanese and then to hear there's no more Phoenix had me lose almost all anticipation for this game. But whatever if i find it this weekend at Eb i'll probably be forced to buy it.

Finished this today, and it was AMAZING. The final moments of the game tie together the entire plot amazingly well. It even throws one last surprise at you before it's all over. I can't wait to get the next installment in Apollo's saga. Throw out your reservations about playing this game, it is much MUCH better than you will expect.

Phoenix is not gone yet. He makes more than just cameo appearances in this one.

I'm in the middle of the last case, and all I can say is I'm quite engrossed in it. They really took a different twist with the case's approach. I certainly hope there's more, since they really can take advantage of the new features they added. I really enjoy looking over the detailed evidence. Also, the new music is great. I really love the overly dramatic theme (forget what it's called, but the truly dramatic cross-examination music when you really have the witness on the ropes).

Though, I haven't finished the last case in the 3rd game yet. I really should. I spoiled myself by reading too into some of the profiles, but actually getting to that point and reading how the dialogue is actually written is really the appealing part.
