It's so nice of youto thank those people. What amazes me is that people actually helped out other people on PSO.

I think they're alot of great people on PSO. But the same goes both ways, they're also alot of dic*s. I am lucky enough to have meet some of the good ones.

And again I thank all of you for helping me get started again.. I'm now lv.45 and I almost have a lv.100 mag to make a ravi.

Well, congradulations on getting back in action.

I had the same thing happen to me last night, and I lost 5 level 200 mags I had raised myself, one HUcast at 125, one RAmar at 75 and a FOmar at 26, along with a legit (got it in a box) Kaladbolg, 60% native, which had been my best find. The building had a power-out at the EXACT second the game saved at the Tekker's booth. I even had my Cube on an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), but it didn't catch it.

My question being: do you think it's worth it to start over after something like that? I had a better chance of winning the lotto then loosing all my guys to a power out, especially since I have a UPS device. There's nothing that says it can't happen again.

maybe SEGA should implement a backup of your main character in the memory card or xbox hard drive.... like you may backup one character from your memory card. if in any case your character gets corrupted you make use that image...

but make it that it cannot be abused like... you gotta buy backup credits and they would cost alot of money...
and that you may only back up one character... or like you may only have one backup credit per time.

OUCH!!! If I were you, I'd at least take a few weeks off... that really, really sucks. After something like that, I might just call it quits, myself.
Uninterruptable, huh? :/

I lost a FOnewearl on V1, that really sucked. Never lost a whole card though. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_bash.gif

I am the player who controls Allura Nyma in the game. LOL Shh. My identity must remain secret.

Just as people have helped me out, I'd like to return the favor to the community. This is all done legitimately.

As for preventing a power flash, you'd have to hook up the GC to a UPS of the correct rating and plugged into the right outlet. A UPS has outlets that are supported by the UPS's battery and outlets that are not. If you plug your GC into the unsupported (no battery support) outlet of the UPS, it'll act no differently than plugging into a wall outlet directly.

I switched some plugs around on my computer's back-up battery so that I could plug in my GC to it. I'm making sure that never happens to me again. Dam power flash..

but NEways I'm up to lv52 with about 42hrs play time in. I've also gotten my mag up to lv100 and reclaimed my ravi. YEAH..!! Now to just finish it off and get it to lv200.

Make sure you're computer is still on the backup plug. You don't want to pull off a "Doh!" situation where your GC is ok, but your computer gets a power flash.

Congratulations on your "Catching up progress."
Need some more mats? LOL
Over a short amount of time, one can collect a lot of mats.

Ya I didn't unplug my computer. I switched out the printer for a regular plug. Who cares if I have to reprint something. It's my PSO that I want to save.. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Update on my character. I'm now lv73-HUmar with a lv200-Rati, I've onle got about 80hrs into him and that is about 15 less hours from my last character. I woudl have to say that this time around I knew what I was doing...(some what at least http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif) I got a FOmarl-lv35 but I'm letting my roommate do most of the work on her. Thnx for the support everybody.

I've been returning the favor to the community also. I've ran into a couple of people that said they were new... or that their file got corrupted. I hooked them up with some extra 9star rares that I had to get them started. It's nice to help..

Boy, if that happened to me, I'd go over to my power company and raise some hell.
