No (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=513621&in_page_id=1770), I'm not making it up.

What do you all think about this? I work in a food service restaurant and I've seen some interesting things, and heard some even MORE interesting things, but... this is just more than I would ever think anyone would do.

Why would you want to share this article? It's disgusting beyond imagination.

I doubt anyone here would be laughing if they had taken a bite of shit cake. =]

Though I'm pretty sure I'd demand restitutions for someone selling me a cake unfit for human consumption; expecially one with shit on it.

After the case Hasmi said: "It was not our fault but I don't want to talk about it.

"I'm not working in the food industry anymore. I want to do something else.

"We are sorry for the people who ate it," he said.

Yeah, he's going to work outside the food industry now because he's most likely not allowed in the food industry. Really, who's gonna hire the guy now, his name is in the news for selling a fecal cake! My guess is he doesn't want to rat out his friend, but most likely his co-worker is the one who did it.

I say make them eat a cake just like it, except let them KNOW its got shit all over it, the mental torture itself would be delicious! Cruel and unusual torture; yes, but justice would certainly be served(..via a shit-covered cake!).

I wouldn't of eaten it in the first place if it smelled funny. =]

"Let them eat cake," huh? An interesting solution. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

I would'nt have either, but I guess if you're hungry and it just smelt alittle bit 'off', (i.e. you could'nt pinpoint a FECAL smell), then you'd still shrug your shoulders and say "Well, its just cake, it can't spoil so it should be ok".

It's not like fish or a peice of meat, where you can smell that it went bad, cakes are very capable of absorbing odors and tastes from other things they are stored with; and lets be realistic, no one thinks "Gee, this smells funny, I better not eat it there might be SHIT ON IT".

eh, so it looks the same coming out, going in, and coming out again. Wouldn't it be ironic if the crap started out as cake (to begin with)? Reminds me of that SNL skit back in the day where they put a black light on a diner and fecal matter was everywhere, and the whole hamburger patty the guy was eating was crap..

I had something to say about this article... but I clicked on the story about the parents that let their 16 year old daughter's 36 year old (divorced with a kid) boyfriend move in with them... and the line where the girl says she hasn't met his 2 year old daughter, but she's sure she'll be a great step mom knocked the words out of my head...

What are they doing in the UK anyway? Shit cakes, legal child molestery... what's next?

...And I thought some of the stuff I watched as part of my food safety training was pretty gross (as part of it, I had to watch an NBC special on fast-food hygeine horrors. REALLY makes you debate eating at Mickey D's afterwards). This kinda takes the...er....cake?

Gross. This doesn't help my already existent paranoia of eating out.

the cake has always been a lie, just go to about 10 different topics in the FKL that prove it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_ak.gif http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/cake.gif

An oven, a cheese grater, and some plastic gloves, maybe?
