Hi. I was thinking of soloing TD for some rares to sell (and I want a blackheart) and I need some help deciding what class I should solo this. My choices are:fighgunner-megid immunity, light element nightwalker with level 40 spiral dance

Wartecher-resta, regrant (coincidently, those 2 seem to go hand and hand) light element bow

Protranser-EX traps, light laser cannon, light bow, ice grenade launcher (yeah, I focus on the range aspects of PT)

Pretty easy mission for Rangers, of those three I'd go with Protranser.

Unless of course your goal isn't speed but rather easiness/cost-effectiveness; in that case another option might be better.

yeah, cost-efectivness would be a great thing, what I'm looking for is a good balance for speed/cost-efficiant, oh, and I forgot to mention, with protranser, my shotgun element is fire, would a level 1 light shot outdamage a level 18 fire (please factor in 3 shots vs 4 shots)

I can't say off the top of my head but I highly doubt it the light shot would do more even with elemental bonus factored in. Probably the best class for cheap runs of this mission would be Wartecher. No spending money on 'mates, 'rides, etc. And you've still got spears for Majarra to own everything.

Regrant is a horrible TECHNIC to use solo on pretty much anything, even Sendillans (especially because in TD they spawn in such large groups most of the time). It's much more useful in parties, especially when you have a dedicated healer.

I LOL'd at this. Why not just grab a couple buddies and convince them (bribery of alcohol) to help you run this until you get what you need?

Ahh geez, I went as hard and fast as I could with Axes and traps too. Your protranser could prolly do much better though.

Fighgunner I run this in 12 mins or so, I go faster as fortegunner, but yeah, fighgunner is good. Guns work great on dulk falkis face.

Fighgunner is a beautiful job to solo True Darkness, since you can use twin mayalee and twin rising (or crossbow equivalent) on the melee-resistant mages, as well as traps.

You shouldn't need resta to complete a mission that is that short; dimates and trimates should do the trick.

I'm not as awesome as Eleina but:

Bah, the next 10 runs were all 9 minutes..Fortefighter wins.

OK, my next question is: is there a map variant which has no more than 0 magicians, if not, is there at least a variant where I only have to face them one at a time?

no finaly spawn in the second block is always 3 goazorans

First block beginning spawn is 3 Deljabans, this will give you Gaozorans throughout the whole mission.
First block beginning spawn is 2 Pannon and 1 Sendillian, this will give you either Jusnaguns or Dilnazens the first block, and second block you will fight 3 Gaozorans. (Personally I like Gaozorans as figh/fortegunner).

For the Gaozorans put on some fire armor and use duals as your FIG for range, use your PM/NPC as shields, easy lol.

You will fight 4 Gaozorans in Block 2 with every map

OK final question: as a Protranser, which weapon should I use to kill Fakus (of falkus, or however you spell him), I went through it, yet I had to use 2 photon charges and he managed to drop that planet on my 5 times before I killed him. (total time: 35 minutes)

Majarra or Redda. If you know what you're doing you can try to Jabroga him, but my experience with using Jabroga is that he always moves just in time to dodge it.

Oh, and Duranga works well too (or Boma Yoga if you don't have Duranga)

Id say use a bow for shooting his face when hes in his 'normal stance' and stand close to him to avoid his tail/arm attacks. Then when he flips upside down use Majarra or any other strong melee PA you might have at close range. If you are a CAST PT right when hes about to use his meteor attack use your SUV so you don't take any dmg.

Go fighgunner or fortegunner. I use this mission to level up crossbow bullets. I soloed it in 17 mins as a lv 95 fortegunner with yak diga lv 15. Pretty good considering my level and low level bullet. If you go fighgunner, use twin handguns or crossbows. You can avoid being hit easier which will cost less with healing items. And twin handguns are great for the boss, when he puts down his head, pull out your double saber!

I might as well ask it here.
Any good tips on dealing with the 3 gao at the end for a human fF?

On fakis if you are protanser I use jabroga, grenades work well too, and then when he flips over I switch to spear and or saber since it is easy to critical with those weapons and they are good for quick damage. I use spear more than saber although rising strike works great I have a better spear at this point than I do a saber.

Yeah I like them times and all them Japs are using slicers, 6 slicers makes that run a little one sided. lol. I thought this thread said solo, not groups of 6 people. I see at least 3 people in the run that took 6 minutes and at least two people with slicers in that run that took 3 min, still though 3 minutes even with a full party is pretty insane, did you guys all skip a bunch of enemies because when I solo I kill everything I can, minus the doors I cannot open. Plus I lvl bullets and skills and I only run the map if it is all gaozorans since skela and gizaha-zahshi boards are worthless now. My best time by myself when doing this to date, playing as protranser is exactly 16 minutes. Back when we stillhad the glitch I did it as guntecher in 5 minutes by myself, with a friend we did it in 4.

That's actually two people. One hint is the part where Lina said "duo", which is a word that describes a pair of people!

Also, the people you see aren't actually people, but NPCs.
