Coming back to PSU? Need help?

I figure it's time to start a topic that will hopefully help everyone that wanders in and out from playing PSU.

For instance, I know the news section tells about new story missions but, there aren't alot of details. I think its best to also explain the populated areas so people know where to level, and/or interact with other players.

I just recently came back and I've mostly been leveling on Scarred Planet/Lightning Beasts, but it is sometimes hard to find a party pretty much anywhere. So where's a place that people are always around?

I've heard that people are spread out hunting rares all over, but my best guess is to go to lobbies with new missions or to Neudaiz, Pavilion of Air, people still playing White Beast is my best guess.
