Lovely.. I am a big fan of crazy/mad art http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif
I bet it would look better on paper, since scanners make a sketch look 3 times worse. (the main reason why I switched to digital art)

I like the "shuttle cock" one the most.. I think that if you would apply the same realism/detail to the rest of the body, it would look awesome!

Need more old men with white foam and eating plants.
How about, a monster plant eating old beard men? Not too old, or else I'll feel bad for him. Maybe an angry one. an angry one with foamy mouth. Mm. Ya, go ahead.

I like the redhead one. Black/white/red makes a nice combination.. for some reason she looks like she could turn into a vampire second and suck your blood out http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

I like it too, though not because she can change into a vamp or anything but because I get this feeling that if I talked to her she would remind me of someone I used to know a long time ago.

Time to comment here too ; for some reason, i like quite much some of your draws while i really dislike the others, and i can't really explain why, i only feel them like that. So among those i like m00ch are the two girls (red-haired one and SpongeBob book one), this new addition (kind of appreciate the tortured feeling it throws at me) and above all, that BBQsauce carnivorous funky plant ! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif
And well, i really don't like the three others. :| Can't give any hint why, again... I think it's only a matter of taste.

I think you should give a bit more explaination with your drawings.. unless you like to make people like me confused, staring hours at the picture, trying to understand the meaning of it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

The boy is welldone, I like how the clothing is just completly black.. it's just.. his hair looks a bit odd though.

I've always been on the influence that art is meant to be interpreted by the viewer.

What is a pair of glasses and a bottle of wine can be a "dinner date for 2" to someone else for example.
I don't even know what happens with my art sometimes http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

qoxolg
Apr 26, 2008, 02:14 AM
haha..

I always have that when I am in the sketching process.. I have absolutly no idea what I am gonna draw and why I am drawing it... I just start with scribbeling some lines, hoping it will end up good.

But I always end up with the opposite. My arts never have any having meaning behind them. I want them to be pretty and eyecatching. At the first glance people should either burst out in laugh or react like: "O M G!? thats sick!" or just think: "Whatever, I don't like it" http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif
Just don't try to search for any meaning behind my art.. the bunny killing is just because I like how absurd it looks and I just love to do the dark and heavy shading.

Next time I'll be sure to share my interpretation http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

qoxolg
Aug 31, 2008, 01:46 PM
Hmm yeah.. Pencil+ digital coloring can be a real pain.. You can always try to import the sketch in illustrator to "trace" the sketch for a more solid line work.

After that, just select the line work in photoshop and use colored brushes to color the lines..

Another method you could use is putting the sketch on a "linear burn" layer, and start coloring in layers underneath the sketch.

ug.. The last time I scanned a pencil work was years ago >_> yay for tablets

Oh one thing.. I see you actually work on quite a low resolution. espeically when sketching and lining it comes in handy to work on a 300DPI'ish resolution.. or simply picking the A4 paper format when you create a new file in photoshop. For some reason it feels better.. it also prevents the blurry effect you see in your digital works.

Ahaz, a similar scene occurred in Yakuza 2 with lady police cop and Kazuma the Yakuza main char.

The SEast corner reminds me of the bar-top even though its probably not intended that way? Perhaps bed or something.

"Fraternities and Collegiate Rape Culture."

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v26/Snoopychan/4psowDormRaid.jpg

Frats are researched and identified as places of high "suspectability" to rape and abuse to women. It is also mentioned how Women are treated as a lesser being in these big time frats. So what is a woman? A thing to hook up with, have sex with and provide beer.

Well we provide the beer you just serve us. So what is the ideal creature?

A beer dispencing, sex inducing lifeless meatsack with warm flesh for your own hookup needs...

Kimmel, p 396:
"A lot of research has been conducted on the emotional stability of cohabiting couples. Some research finds that Cohabitating women are more prone to depression than married women . . . maybe they are more prone to stress because they know that their unions can dissolve more easily than marriages, if they dissolve there will be no legal means. . . after the "DIVORCE."

So I'm told.

I love the goth-loli style of fashion. Odd how two of my best friends are into the goth-loli style. It's like cute-freaky white haired girl with black dress, cute-freak black haired girl with white dress, and then...there is me. The Travis Touchdown looking guy. Hell I've been nicknames Mr. Touchdown by my friends. Maybe because I act like him...in a way.
