yes. actually, i do like amy winehouse... as a PERSON. i'm not a fan of female singers at all, but i like her in general... her music i don't mind, but the songs even has a quality to it that is reflected in her own eccentric drug addict persona... i've always secretly liked "you know i'm no good" because i think she just sounds HORRIBLY SEXY in it. others call her a junkie, and "rehab" is an overdone song that teenage "pothead" girls will have on their ipods to make them seem like they're "edgy," but amy winehouse herself is HOT.

but really, with amy winehouse, its less of her "looks,"(although she has her moments of definite hottness) and more about her personality that i find attractive. "junkie" she may be, but that was not really a persona falsely added to get her into the music biz. she has experience in what she's been doing, and its been a constant struggle within since 13 years old while still making accomplishments in her life. its not like a random celebrity that lets fame go to their head and then they get "succumbed by the underbelly of fame" and become cokefiends, because those people were typically weak from the beginning. sometimes its a beautiful thing to watch someone suffering mentally or losing their mind, not like a retarded britney spears or jessica simpson always being in the papers, but someone who obviously has more depth and can't really be understood with a one-liner in "star" magazine... and i'm no sadist. yes, she's done some questionable things and made that shit song "rehab" that tries too hard at putting the "addict" thing out there... but the threatening of fans in the midst of concerts or doing a line during the "breakdown" of a song at a live show would be glorious to watch.


but that's just my opinion. and no, i'm not a fan of hers, i will never say about any celebrity, "I LOVE YOU! GET WELL SOON YOU'RE A BEAUTIFUL PERSON" because the "fans" admire some image created by their PR, thats just stupid. if anything, i want her to continue living in a completely distorted reality because of her need to feed her addictions.
