Okay, I recently beat falz (V. hard) and flow (normal), and wondered why the titles of the songs contain the word IDOLA. Now I have no idea what this word has to do with ANY of the game, but it must mean something! ...right?

I've heard that MUT DITTS PUMIN may have to do with the classic PS series. I have only played #2 on the wii and I'm halfway done I think. Anyway I don't know if IDOLA is related in the same way as MUT DITTS PUMIN, and I'd like to know.

I don't think so. It may have, but anything was pretty much just references. I doubt PSO and PS1-4 were connected.

And it is MUUT DITTS POUMN http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

I always liked the word "IDOLA". It seems so ominous and mysterious.

Doesn't IDOLA refer to the Profound Darkness?

PSO-wise, yes. That is why IDOLA is in all the final boss songs.
