I was wondering how much it costs? I understand its free for the first year, but what about after that? Or do I pay the same price ($70)?

It's only $50 for the Xbox Live starter kit (unless you are in canada, then your $70 is right). We arn't sure what it will be after the first year, but MS Support has been saying it will be a $50 renewal fee as well (for another year).
