View Full Version : The PSO Database is staying up right?

Because there might be people beyond the PSOX shutdown still playing PSO and they might just need the database.

And, 'realistically,' those late Offline players might still need them. And JP's up.

The PSO Database, Guides, and Calculators are going to remain online. Far too much time has been invested in those sections just to idly take them down.

It'd be pretty stupid if, after compiling what is likely the most complete and comprehensive database of PSO information, the people in charge of PSOW decided to just take it all down.

And yes, Google is your friend. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

It kinda is called PSOW for a reason. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Not to mention you still need the data base to look up stuff for offline. Even though there is no official online, people still play offline and need info.

Thank goodness.
And the early days of submitting findings (when the PSO Bible didn't exist yet) was really fun to share info with one another.

The PSO Database will continued to be updated as long as people continue to provide information (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=102467&forum=1&362). The info can include JP BB-only items. I remember spending several days last year updating V2 droprate info, even though there are only a couple of people that care at this point.

What if they called it PSUW instead with (and pso) in brackets next to it? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
Back on topic, I'd flip if they took PSO related drops ('specially for 'Cube) off as I still do rare hunts from time to time. I'm lucky I managed to print all the Ult drops in Table form just incase. Without this site I wouldn't have been motivated to find some of the rares I have (like Soul Banish and Gal Wind. Blasted pictures of the weapons made me want them more too. Lucky they were both on CCA (offline only http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif ) as I love the music and the feel of the level). I'll never give up on PSO.

P.S is it worth getting PSU whateverthesubtitlessays for PS2 if I want to play strictly offline only, and are there plenty of rares offline?

Plenty of rares, but not near as much as pso, and personally i dont think you'd like it from reading your posts over the last while. (I have insanely good memory for little crap so in-game I remember people i haven't seen for over a year and how we met.)

That might be the original intention, but now it's more like PSOW. ;]

What i meant was that PSOW is like the Online World of Phantasy Star.
Ep3 is a side game. ST must have realized it's not going as well as it should be, thus they returned to PSO for PC, aka BB, making Ep3 an oddball in the numbering. ;]

He meant the original Phantasy Stars, meaning the games before PSO, not the Episodes.

NO it is insesnbile too take them out. That inforamtion can also reffer to offlin players.
So it will not go away. Too much time has been put into it as well to simply just make it dissapear.
It's not going anywhere. THe main point is that it is just not online refference, but offline as well. ANd that is one of the main purpouses of it NOT going away.
