Three is the most I recall ever seeing at one time, offling single player and off/online multi-player mode considered. Best bet is to use offline multi-player and, on the map variation with the mazey crusher room right in front of the entrance, go east one room (from that crusher room) then north one room (from the room with an elevated center platform) and use the telepipe trick there. There should be three Rappies and two Lilies fairly easily seen from the doorway.
