View Full Version : Any possible way to resurrect tables?

I know that table coding is disabled on the forum (and I found out why (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=51315&forum=6) http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif), but I was wondering if there's a safe way to allow table use again?

Does this BB system have any sort of built-in table support that will add closing tags at the end automatically? I know that this forum adds closing tags at the end of a post with tags still open. If it has table support and a user forgets their table closing tags, it'll leave just their table looking ugly without mangling the forum, wont it?

Reason I'm asking is that I'd like to be able to vertically align some things in posts (like say items in a tradelist http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif), and tables are the only way I could do it with HTML disabled.

Try using a List.

It indents all texts within it.
It provides the option of using bullets for added effect.
Looks great, without getting into complicated tables.

I'm a big fan of lists, personally.

I don't think tables have ever been allowed in posts. The thread you referenced was for tables in signatures.

If you want to vertically align some text, you can use the [list] or [code] tags. If you have several columns, I'd recommend using [code].

I'll see what the code tag does, then. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Edit: I just realized that I use URLs in the list for easy ItemDB access. The code tag wont work for me. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Oh well, guess I'll just have to live with it. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
