Nothing in my mind for movies, but in books;
SHIKE by Robert Shea. The co-main character Jebu. After going through such epic difficulties and making such a name for himself, seems to give all that all up for his honor. Of course the Japanese cultured loved it, but I was horrified. He could of lived on, I grew such a liking to him. I appriciate the fact that he did drive a mongol army away from him and had them arrow him to death because they were to scared to take him on melee combat, but dang. -weeps hard-

One of the more memorable death scences from a Movie I can think of is Jazz in the new Transformers movie. The fact that he was so unceremoniously ripped in two just made it stick out. But for me the best death scene I have ever seen is a tie between Mu La Flaga in Gundam SEED (ignoring the fact that they brough him back to life) and Lockon Stratos in Gundam 00. Mu, because he defied physics by blocking and dissapating a positron blast, and Lockon because he looked so awesome floating out there in space aiming his finger at the Earth, then BOOM! GN Arms explosion leaving nothing but his wishes for the world to change. And I am not ashamed to say I cried a bit when that happened.

Anyway that Call of Duty 4 one was clearly a chocolate bar of bad ass dipped in awesomeness.

Anyways back on topic, easily my favorite movie death scene had to be in Matrix Revolutions where the ammunitions kid fell down during the Sentinel attack and Captain Mifune with his mecha stepped in between him and 1000s of Squidies that descended upon the kid. I can't describe what happened further to do the scene any justice but saying Mifune had a lot of grit is a severe understatement.

Totally. For me, Luca Blight just about gave Kefka a run for his money for best villain ever IMO.
