Its kinda ironic, a lot of teenagers say that they hate poetry, but they listen rap and/or rock plus other genres all the time. As for me, i hate poetry and im not that much into music(all though i might beat my head to a song that has a good beat.

Your thoughts.

No progressive selection, what gives? Well my fave type of music is Prog rock/metal bands like Dream Theater, Symphony X, Pink Floyd, Yes that kinda stuff, that and JPop.

I would have to say rock. I used to have quite a broad music out look, but of late the music industries starting to suck. Rock music seems to be the best at the minute, i like the way most of the bands will actually write their own lyrics and play their own intruments.

Some dance music is ok, but thats going more pop of late.

Something totally original though is a group called Royksopp. Im not even sure what to class them as, but their music is great to listen to.

I like alot of Metal, Goth, and Industrial. The most poetic lyrics I have ever heard are those of Cradle Of Filth. Every song is like a poem.

KodiaX, you're hardly weird for liking Techno and Trance, that's mostly what I listened to back in days of me working in the studio (last year). Personally, I listen to a bit of everything, but lately I haven't been able to get enough of stuff like Sister Hazel (new album coming out), Dave Matthews Band, and other bands of simular sound.

I like instrumental music the most. Movie and Videogame soundtracks/scores are my preference, although a little classical music never hurts now and again. Recently I've been listening to Matchbox Twenty, Bon Jovi and other rock singles. I'm debating on whether or not I should get the Panzer Dragoon Orta soundtrack.

I listen to The Deftones, Deadsy, Radiohead, select U2 songs, Lost Prophets, Mudvayne, Cold, The Pixies, The Breeders and some other bands. So its mostly rock but I also listen to J-Pop and Classical every once in a while.

Yeah, game music is the best. I recieved orchestral versions of SSBM music recently in my latest Nintendo Power magazine(and last http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif ). Its very tight(even if you don't like all that classical stuff and I don't).
