Example: "Dani Californal" being the theme for the Dath Note Movie.

Another one I found didn't fit was "Simple and Clean" on kingdom hearts. Good song, but has nothing to do woth the game.

Aww I though Simple and Clean was a nice mysterious song for that opening sequence, but I see your point. I don't like when they take a song and change the lyrics to sell a product. For example: "She's a Brick-House!" gets changed to "Get a Wickes House!" (Wickes being a furniture store..)

horrible

car commercials do this alot and ruin alot of songs

The majority of fan made "music videos" which take generic angst metal or some other crap song and match it up to some random anime/film sequence, especially when the chosen portions of the film are taken way out of context.

Pretty much every anime music video of all time, bank commercials that use songs about heroin addiction, the CSI theme song... other stuff like that. Heh.

Speaking of Bleach, they had a solo electric guitar playing in a soul style in the last episode (freaking random fillers...). Considering how Matsumoto was bending over and exposing herself everywhere, I thought a porn scene was about to erupt.

I just played a scene with that music, but I played the Katamari Damacy theme instead. No difference at all.
