Well that should be.... interesting. (I feel I say this way too often) Though I'm goint to be leaning more toward "It's going to suck," but hey, maybe since it will only be 90-120 minutes we will get more action with less dialogue than the anime!

On the note of the movie poster, its a teaser most of them don't look all that awesome... Except for the Transformers Teasers... Those were pretty awesome

Also a planet explodes, and reappears, and explodes again.

DOA was sort of entertaining in a stupidly outrageous kind of way. Hopefully DB will manage the same sort of geekdom, that way at least it can be fun on a ridiculous level.

The worst would be if it's cheese but insists on taking itself seriously, like Battlefield Earth..

I'm hoping it matches the tone of Mortal Kombat the movie (first one)

The poster looks less horrifying than I would've imagined, but that's probably because it's a teaser poster, as opposed to one that shows the characters and whatnot...

...I'm just glad they're not doing a live-action Cowboy Bebop movie...

I will probably go to see it in the theaters, which is weird, because I specifically do not hold your optimism.

I mean really. We all saw this coming. I just don't see how any one of us --even Saner-- could possibly have any high expectations for it. Think about it. Really consider it. The original Dragonball was a long, drawn-out story, that was anything but short. Dragonball Z was built on grunting and teenie-machismo. From what I can tell on the IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1098327/), this movie is a hybridization (bastardization?) of them both, rushed through to meet a 90 to 120 minute time frame.

Well, yeah, I can imagine a well-done one as well. However, I'd rather just not have one than have to suffer through an utterly abysmal one.
