Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend

I made the same thread in FKL, but I figure most people here don't go THERE, so I'll do you all the great favor of informing you.

Apparently this weekend or next weekend, Valve is putting up Team Fortress 2 for free for from Friday to Sunday or some shit.

I figured you guys always shit yourselves over free things, so I'd tell you about it. Best goddamn game ever.

I've played the game QUITE EXTENSIVELY so if anyone has any questions at all regarding it, I should be able to answer anything ever. The only class I really don't know how to ADVANCED PLAY is as Engineer, but I can still answer basic questions about him.

Just get Steam, and download Team Fortress 2. It shouldn't take too long, Valve's download servers are usually pretty fast.

Try it out and add me to your steam friends list(DekusScrub) and I'll give you a beating. I would usually Medic for you, but they just came out with the new Medic Weapons and every idiot ever is playing the class. Really shittily, I might add.

Heavily recommend this game. I hate FPS, but TF2 captured a special place in my heart.

Well I already have the game, so I dont care lol,and your kinda cocky there man,chill out.No ones posing a threat yet. But yeah Team Fortress 2 is a really good game,whenever I get bored of PSU(which has been happening quite frequently) I go to this game. I also hate fps but this game is something else,it blends simpliciity with strategy. TF2 is the first multiplayer FPS since OpFor:DM/HL:DM to utterly suck me in. And I stopped playing those shortly after HL update 1.0.1.0 I believe it was. Yeah, before Steam. While UT2004 was fun, I didn't play it nearly as much.

It's fun, frustrating, and frantic and makes a great shooter. And because it is on the Source engine the requirements are pretty low to play nicely and even to play with high details and whatnot.

Wow, I just played this... two hours wasted. Absolute fun. I was getting some bad FPS (20-50). I had details set to the lowest possible, and upped the resolution to 1024x768. I expected it to be a LOT worse.
