I'm surprised there aren't online-enabled updating freeway billboard signs that update with new advertisements.

Actually, this seems like a logical next-step for games. After all, after playing Burnout 3, I started to like My Chemical Romance and Rise Against, and have since purchased both cds.. just keep giving me my option to turn OFF songs/switch radio stations to avoid the terrible songs I can't stand, please!

*edit*

yes, 360 allows for custom soundtracks for games, but I tend to try to 'enjoy' the content that is included with whatever game I am playing, unless of course it is universally terrible, which I find to be a rare occurrence.

The only game that came close that I know of was Jet Moto (a jet ski racing game for Playstation), there were 5 or so teams, each seemed to be sponsored by a company or product (the only one I remember is Butterfinger). There were also billboards with the 5 brands at points through the courses.

The newer Battlefield games do that, don't they? Could have swore that the futuristic BF game installed abit of spyware, and you'd get ads on billboards. I recall people getting Intel and car ads ingame, but not sure if thats the BF series or not.

Crackdown and Rainbow Six Vegas both have billboards that do that.

EA's Skate is the modern day equivalent of Advertising Central.

Yes, the funny thing is when Laguna and I first got to Germany, the signs were for Die Hard 4 all in German. We were like WTF?? Damn ISP. Same reason we can't DL movies -_-
