View Full Version : AotI-PC/PS2: PSU's newest FOney!

Cranberry
May 19, 2008, 12:35 PM
Well hello everyone. Allow me to introduce myself. The name's Cranberry. You may have seen me around the PSO forums. Thanks to Sage and Mad Maverick's generosity, I've been given an opprortunity to play PSU, and even get online for a month!

Yep, I'm making all the typical newbie mistakes. Getting one hit killed by that big bear that I ran up to because I thought it looked cute. I was afraid to pick up a Ban Photon because I thought I'd be banned from the game if I did. Hitting the auto-run on accident and panicing because I didn't know how to stop running. Thinking the staced HP restore from one of the resta techniques meant I was immune to damage and running right into traps. Yep, you name the newbie mistake and I've probably done it! Someday we'll look back on it and laugh... right? But I'm still having fun even if I'm still learning the basic.

With the room feature this game is like Animal Crossing with violence. Well anyways, hope to meet a few people online and get a chance to burn things with Foie along side you.

As long as I'm making a topic, could anyone tell me what the name of the Windmill weapon in PSU is? I'd like to find or buy one. Thanks and see you all around!

~Cranberry

*cough*

If you are talking about the windmill like looking rod, that is the Kazarod (http://www.pso-world.com/items/psu/1/1548/kazarod/), the 11* rod.
The synthesis board for that weapon can be found in the mission Demons Above S2 (http://www.pso-world.com/items/psu-findings/4/150/demons_above_s2/).

Well, I hope you enjoy your PSU trip! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Lo, Cran.

Windmill weapon... The only thing that comes to mind are either the Kazarod or the Kazarodoc. The Kazarodoc can only be found in the MA:G mission by taking Rupika with you all the way down through the Ruins, and the Kazarod can be found as a board in Demons Above S2.

Edit: GAH! Beat again!

*shakes fist at G*

With that said, don't feel you have to rush through this game, Cranberry. Just take it one thing at a time and you'll get more enjoyment out of it.

Yes I am the same Cranberry, Ragnagelppod! Good to see you again! It's too bad I can't fight you with my Crimson Assassin anymore! heee!

So all I have to do is take Rupika all the way through the ruins and I'll get my Windmill? That's really all there is too it? That doesn't sound bad at all! I thought it was going to be a lot harder!

I'm only going to be online off and on I think. I'm in a poor financial state. Mad Maverick and Sage generously bought me the game and a month online, so I'm at least here for a while. I'll have enough leftover for a second month but I might save that for the middle of summer when classes are out. I look forward to seeing everyone while I'm able to be online! I think my offline character will get plenty of use though too during my off times.

Just be aware that if you try to play like a traditional FOnewearl (support first, techs second, everything else third), you will find the game very tedious, boring, and unrewarding.

But good luck all the same.

Maybe I should clarify >> you get rupika, take her through to ruins, then the kazarodoc has a CHANCE of dropping.

Correct. The chance of it dropping is small. It's an actual rare drop.

The chance of a Kazarodoc to drop is probably way lower than your changes if you are hunting for the original in Demons Above S2.
Though, since you probably do not have the required level to play that mission, you also can hunt for the Kazarodoc, which drops from the end boxes of MAG on every difficult rank.
However, do not get your hopes too high! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
But since MAG also will be gone soon, you better hunt for the Kazarodoc.
(Just do not cross your fingers that it will drop in every run. You would get frustrated.)

The way I look at it, even if it doesn't drop, the Meseta I earn puts me one step closer to purchaisng it from a Player store. That will make me happy because I get the Windmill I really want, and it will make the player happy because they get some Meseta! And each run I do lets me use Foie more, letting it level up more. And I never mind having an excuse to burn things. I am the Fire Mage on PSO after all, and that characteristic is manifiesting itself on PSU too. =D

I think she may be on PC/PS2. I know I've seen a Cranberry in the Guardian HQ lobbies before...unless it's a different one. But she did have the FOnewearl clothes on too, which makes her highly suspicious. >_>

Um... No. That's pretty much an Acrotecher's job, or at least what their job is SUPPOSED to be, and I'm having fun doing support first.

Also, healing and supporting is by far the MOST rewarding job. It takes the pressure of your teammates to watch their own HP bar and lets your group move faster.

Of course a lot of people like pulling emo crap and spend 99% of their time soloing in an MMORPG so I guess that doesn't apply to the anti-MM MMO players.

I logged on today and found that someone had a gift for me. Kazarodoc! I got my Windmill! =D I am thrilled!

Ah the joys of being new! XD I read Rappy Polec as "Rappy Police." I still call them that too. The name is just sticking. Every time I see one I think "Rappy Police." Alas so much homework I can't play much today, other than hanging out in my room as I study. But tomorrow I should have some time. It should be fun.

Looks like my message got moved here.

Alright then. Well PSU has been fun so far, though it doesn't have that same draw that PSO did. I like the "My Room" feature a lot. Sometimes I just sit in my room while I do homework or something.

Friends have been very generous. I've gotten some great clothes and items as gifts from friends. I have 2 Kazarodocs that have become my staple weapons. It's just not me if I don't have a Windmill! I love fire. People keep telling me its time for me to start building up other techs, but I just really want to keep using Foie for now. I want to max its level. It may not be the most effiecient or best way to play, but I just love to burn things. That and I have always had a tendancy on games like this to level one ability all the way to the max before moving onto another. I guess its a habbit I got from Secret of Mana where you had to do much like in PSU and cast a spell over and over again to level it up.

I'm working hard to save my money so that I can buy something in a player shop. I sure hope they keep it in their shop long enouogh for me to earn the 10 million I need for it. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

Yeah, room decoration is a lot of fun. Appearance customization and cut-in chat are my favorite non-gameplay features.

How slow and steady are you going? You can add a lot to your cash income by doing missions that drop popular materials (catilium, polymers) and selling 'em... or that drop pre-made 9* items (sell to NPC for 50k for weapons, 100k for armors)
