I need to get a good laptop that'll be able to play Age of Connan, Crysis, COD4, and other games of the sort. But I don't know anything about computers and don't know what I need to get to do this. What kind of laptop / stuff should I get to run these and how much will it cost me? Could you break each part down for me?

Well I'm in the market to get a new laptop as mine was destroyed when I went down a cliff...
But the thing to remember is that you should get an above average CPU and graphics chipset. As nether one can be updated later. The only one that I would even consider was a DELL XPS with a number of add ons, but it turned out to be just under $4000. I may have to wait on that one.

It's possible, though they eat batteries like nobodies business.

This (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8780198&type=product&id=1204332501169) is fairly cheap but also a pretty damn good machine. I recommended it to a friend and he's been enjoying it since.

The Radeon 1270 would frankly be a joke for gaming, it's just a very basic integrated graphics chip. Otherwise it's a decent laptop, so long as you don't play any modern 3D games which happen to be what the OP wants to play.

yeah i'm looking at between 1000-1600$ for a laptop. Will I be able to get a laptop that can play fps like COD4, and maybe some nicer games like crysis. And I'll probably have the laptop plugged in most the time when I try to play so I won't have to worry about batteries to much.

That laptop should play most games on high or highest settings. Crysis will be tougher on it, probably a mash of medium and high depending on the resolution. Aside from that I was able to play Bioshock quite comfortably on an 8600M GT at 1440x900.
