:nerd: I saw this new game under an article by Yahoo! about how Kill Bill needs to become a game, and it's called Wet. I think it's by the same company that brought us Spyro, and it's basically like Tomb Raider except for more violent and stuff (probably m-rated?). Anyway, it's release date date is set for Q4 2008; it's definitely on my want list.

You might also be interested in BloodRayne(Pc, Ps2, Xbox, Gc). There are also two movies. =^.^=

I just opened the page, and at the top it says 'Wet PS3 Game'.
Made me chuckle

Looks interesting. I'll wait for more trailers before I make my mind up D;

Did you watch the trailer? >_> That's seriously one of the hottest things I've seen in my life - itt, Kylie has an undying love for badass females. Also, I've considered playing Bloodrayne, but vampires aren't really my thing.

There's gonna be a third one in 2009. This time based a little more on the first game, but durring WWII. A tad late...

I don't really think it has anything to do with kill bill tho

No, of course not.

Sick of the video game industry obsessing over oversexualized leading ladies? Us too, and if you can look past Kill Bill's amazing action sequences and awesomely brutal plot, you'll find one of the most righteous women to ever wield a samurai sword. The resilient, multidimensional badass Bride from Quentin Tarantino's two-part tale of kung-fu revenge is equal parts invincible action star and emotional mother, capable of beating up wizened martial arts masters, insane Yakuza gangbangers and even kung-fu poster child David Carradine while dreaming of a better tomorrow for her innocent daughter. That's the kind of mom grown-up gamers would kill for.

It's only similar in that the protagonist is a bad ass woman.

...Okay.

So what makes it so special, then? How is it different from... every other third-person action game that involves guns/swords and killing things?

That's up to you and every individual to decide, but for me, a bloodier aleternative to Tomb Raider, or an alternative to Assassin's Creed with a female protagonist, is something that I've wanted for a long time. Yes, there was always Bloodrayne, but vampires aren't my thing. And it's hard for me to fall in love with new series like this.

As for reasons to buy this for everyone else, I suppose you'll have to wait for more trailers, gameplay footage, and reviews before you decide why this game is special or not. Looks awesome so far though.

Information available currently makes it seem a bit... generic. That's usually not a good thing, unless it's generic, just done really, really well.

...But there's basically no real meat to any of the information available. :/

Yup, so you'll just have to wait for more :-P, and if it's not up to your expectations in the end, it won't hurt my feelings. I know I'll fall in love at first sight with anything like this anyways.

I think a much more interesting game coming out with lead badass Female Protagonist is gonna be Mirrors Edge. The concept for the game and character are pretty sweet.

I saw that trailer somewhere... Anyway, I can't say I'm too fond of first-person games, and I'm not sure there's enough blood and gore to be what I'm looking for. But it does look like an awesome game.

EDIT: Wait, I remember. I saw it in that show they showed the new RE5 trailer in.
