PSO+ (NTSC) problem on my Wii (PAL) with memory card saves (PAL)

PSO+ (NTSC) works fine on my Gamecube (PAL) however when I insert that same memory card into my Wii (PAL) to play PSO+ (NTSC) I go to single player and the game says it can't find any of my saves for PSO.
What is the problem and how do I fix it?

Just tried it and no go there either. Just said the message it did before about not finding the PSO system file.

wasn't pso made so only the console it was saved on would recognise the files to avoid duping

(to get round this sticking another memory in slot 1 and sticking the memory card with the data on in slot 2 might let you bring your character in as a guest but dunno if that has any drawbacks)

That was true of the Dreamcast, but not the GameCube.
