View Full Version : GC Jeez, what am I, a noob?

So... I've been playing PSOGC for about 8 years now (a bit of a gap, though, since i "quit" before servers went down). I sold my gamecube, my old memory card... everything linking me to pso. Now, I'm in college, and I recently went on a rampage to regain everything I once lost. However, I'm running into a slight problem. Just before I quit PSO, I was given 99 pds to aid me in stacking... I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. Long story short, I've been stacking my way through the game. Now.. I noticed around very hard mode that I hadn't found a single rare from anything (including the 15-20 rare monsters i had miraculously encountered). I scoured the web, only to find, to my horror, that stacking ruins my rare drop chances. However, I don't know the specifics, such as, can my character ever find rares again? Is the rare find chance reduced or completely negated? Do I have to restart :(? Thanks for your help ahead of time guys.

If I heard correctly, you just have to get rid of the over-stacked items (PDs) then save and quit. Without them, everything returns to normal.

Just for clarification, its OK to have 99 pds, just not 99.. say.. trimates, right?

lol, sorry, I did my math wrong, its been almost 7 years.

No, it is not okay to have 99+ of ANY item.

I thought that photon drops could stack up to 99... am i wrong?

No. Photon drops can stack to 99. But going over is a bad thing. Over 10 of pretty much any other stacking item is bad as well.

it was getting a bit difficult in ultimate only using the boomas claw ^^;
