it's a download, a free download to be exact.

you need a server to play the game, the server keeps your char and items info stored, so you defenetly need a server.

The official installer has been removed. You will have to look elsewhere for it. Sadly, we cannot say on the forums here, due to forum rules.

No, all character data is stored server-side. You can play "Single Player" mode, but it still requires you to be online.
