I need to buy a big memory stick. I'm thinking 2 or 4 gbs. I'd prefer the 4 gb. Which one should I get though? Links to amazon or other sites would help.

I use a 4 Gb myself. Having spare space is nice. Plus 2 2 Gb memory sticks will cost more than 1 4 Gb stick. So go for that, if you download loads of stuff and play lots of games.

That's a good deal, mine cost the full retail price. :/
Of course remember, you can make charas per memory stick. So you might wanna invest in a smaller one at a later date. ^^

I think the PSP slim supports official sony memory sticks up to 8GB, but any other company above 4GB seems risky (or so i've heard, on many a PSP forum).

Yes, that is true, using a non-sony 8 Gb stick is risky. It can damage your PSP. But I've used a 4 Gb since I first got my PSP, with no problems at all.

I've had a 3rd party 4gig for a long time, and never had problems with it.

I want to get an 8gig, but they are too expensive right now.

I've had a two gig for like a year and a half. Best investment ever. But just to make sure..You're not buying the big memory stick just for phantasy star saves, right? Most saves take up like 60-400kb, and you can always offload any psp saves onto your computer and then transfer them back to the memory stick at any time.

To illustrate, on my 2gig at any time, I have an ep or two of fairly decently encoded anime, like 4 albums, and 2 or 3 games (legal backups of course). There's generally room left on there to use my psp as a portable hardrive and transfer files to school and back.

Here's a Sony memory stick, with an adapter for the stick. A few bucks cheaper, but it doesn't get free super saver shipping.

It's funny to see 4GB memory sticks on sale for less than the 2GB memory sticks.

I don't have enough memory for the demo. I've got 152 MB, or something like that.

I hear Sandisk Memory Sticks are way better than Sony brand ones. Specifically Sandisk's Ultra II Pro Duo sticks which supposedly has better read/write speeds than Sony's.

That would explain their generous price tag

The perfect time for me to be 44MBs short of memory. XD Jeez, I went to Best Buy today and their memory cards are freakin sold out. Then I go to Gamestop, and all they have is a 4gig memory card for 52 bucks! Dammit! Sometimes I hate living where I'm at! XD
