Question about a used game

I'm wondering, because I know there was such a thing on PSO...
If I buy a used PS2 version PSU-AOI disk from someone who is still playing through the PC, will the game work on my PS2, or will the security systems ward me off somehow? I'm not sure if this is technically "tech support" but I didn't know where this should go.
Help me please? :S

No, it'll work fine. You'll have to make your own account and pay your own monthly bill, but you will be able to use the disc in your PS2 just fine.

Yeah, I know about the billing and whatnot, I used to own the Xbox360 version of the original game. Thank you for the info, this is quite relieving!

Yeah, PSU doesn't have the System ID or whatever it was called that keeps it from being played on another system.
