Will console video games turn into porno's?

well with games like DOAX and BMX XXX already out and starting a new trend... anyone think that video games in the future will actually be for "adults" and possibly made by porno company's??

woah there slugger. Go play DOAX. There's not particularly smutty about that game. Its just women in swimsuits. Just travel to a beach with attractive people, you'll see the same thing. Its not like there's an option to make them remove swimsuits and walk around. Just an overhype about the potential nudity and ESRB gone mad.

As for BMXXX...well..thats just tasteless crap.

Anyways, Custer's Last Revenge as an adult for Atari. So was Bubbles (or something to that nature) and and a strip poker game for NES.

I'm not entirley sure about that, so my answer is I don't know. But I think I read a piece of news on Gamespot awhile back that said there was a game being created on the playboy brand. *after a little bit of searching* Here's the link:

Yep, Playboy is making a game. IGN (http://ps2.ign.com/articles/380/380000p1.html) has said that they don't want to make an AO game though.

It's entirely possible that nudity will start to appear more and more. I personally don't care too much about nudity. I mean, all it does is maybe embaress someone, and perhaps pheramone levels will make someone (of the opposite sex, of course) start to become obsessed with that said person, but it's not like it's against the law or something. But that's my opinion. And besides, if you don't want to see it, don't play it or look up information for it. That simple.

Adult themes are constantly showing up in new games, but just watch, sooner or later the industry will get bored with adult themes and kiddie themes will come soaring back.

I totally agree with these statements. Adult video games wouldn't really have much gameplay, nor would they have a good plot, sound, control scheme, it's all bad. If you want mostly adult stuff, you shouldn't really be playing video games to get it.

Nudity != porno. Bathingsuits != porno. Busty babes != porno. DOAXVB and BMXXXX, while suggestive, are not pornographic. BMX XXX is very lewd, though, and definately needs its Adult rating.

If you've ever looked at Japanese games overall, you know that about half of those made are highly pornographic. However, I think the likelyhood of such games coming to the US are very slim, as America is such a puritanical society. It is possible that such things will happen, but I do not think it will happen anytime soon.

As for porno companies making video games... fat chance. Porno "companies" are usually low-budget independant film makers who have... umm... 'unique' tastes. Chances are that they would not have the budget or the know how to make video games. However, in my opinion an adult-only game company being formed in the US/UK in the future is a very real possibility.

If you look on the DOAX box, it says nudity. There is nudity in the opening scene when some girl jumps off a cliff into the water. Of course you can't see anything, but it's apperantly "revealing" enough to give the game an M rating. Unless there is some mode I have yet to unlock where there is real nudity...
