Im having a problem where i cannot access the multi mode on the demo. I have played through story mode and beat it, so i cannot play it again. When i go to multi mode i get a prompt with 2 options. When i select the top option it just beeps and will not let me choose it. The bottom option is to go back to the previous screen. I am choosing continue from the main screen and selecting the same character i used in story, and then choosing multi mode.

Make sure your PSP's transmission switch is turned on. The game will not proceed with Multiplayer unless your PSP is enabled to transmit Infrastructure or Adhoc connections.

On old PSPs, it's that switch on the side, left of the analogue nub.

Even if you are playing alone (which doesn't need you to connect to anybody), the demo still forces you to turn that switch on.

Note: Not only that, it'll transmit the whole time. Which means, you can't switch off during Multiplayer play if you want to keep playing. If you flip the switch off during play, it'll interrupt gameplay and ask if you want to save your character. After that, it would return you to the title screen.

Kind of silly, I know. If you're soloing Multiplay, you're forced to waste extra battery life just to maintain an Adhoc transmission you aren't even using.

When I choose Host game and choose to start without other players, everything except the moving wallpaper on the background leaves the screen and the WLAN light blinks for a while. Then, after thirty seconds or more, I get this screen:

Basically speaking, I can't get the demo to let me into the Multi Mode at all. I haven't tried AdHoc yet because I don't know anyone with a PSP, but I was under the impression one could play the Multi Mode by oneself? What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions?

For the record, i've beaten the Story mode.

That line translates to: "Transmission has been cut-off" You should be able to play the Multi-mode by yourself. I'd have to see the others screens to know anything more.

Hope that helps!

I can't connect at all. I can see everyone in the room but when the game finally starts, I 'm the only player on the map and my party gets disconnected.

Okay, i'll try uploading a few images to describe the series of steps I took...

Then...It gives me the 'Transmission has been cut off' message. Any thoughts?

Interesting...all those screens are exactly what I get...I haven't had that problem what-so-ever. After that final screen you should be good to go.
Sorry, I have no idea as to what may be happening...Maybe try another game, or system?
Maybe your PSP has connection issues...

Sorry I couldn't be of further help...

Humm...Well, I know my Infrastructure wireless works just fine because I use the web browser a lot. I must admit i've never tried it in AdHoc mode, but I don't see how one function would work if the other didn't.

I even downloaded the demo a second time from a different location just to make sure, but it does exactly the same thing. Humm...

I think it's something wrong with your PSP's flash1. Usually clearing it through the recovery menu usually fixes it. Don't mistaken flash1 with flash0. If you clear your flash0, make sure to only clear the ones you're supposed to (vsh, dic, font, nodule) but make sure you also put in a backup one to replace the ones you cleared, because if you didn't, that WILL lead to a brick hands down. Also, infrastructure has nothing to do with ad hoc. Ad hoc is local and infrastructure requires WiFi.

Since you have CFW, (I could tell by the screenshots) I'm just wondering what CFW you have. Is it 4.01 M33? Because clearing your flash1 and resetting in on that is easier since there is a built in option for it in recovery.

Now I'm not saying to go up and just push around buttons in recovery.

4.01 M33-2.

I figured out the problem, actually. The MAC address for my wifi board didn't match up to the MAC address on my motherboard. I got the PSP used, so that probably explains why. Anyway, I ran an application to match the MAC addresses and voila, it works without a hitch.

Thanks for the help, guys.
