View Full Version : Where does our monthly payment go?

Topic...

I'm just wondering. The JPs get updates like bananas get ripe. But, supposedly, their servers are always full to the brim like some sort of mecca. More players = more money, however.

So where does our money go? Do we just not have enough money(players) to cover translation and recoding costs from the JP content? Does all of our money just barely cover Chill and Ruby's salary? Or are we just paying them for nothing? I'm just curious, and also kind of board whenever I log on.. my six month subscription is up in under a month and I don't know if I'm renewing...

Sorry of this is has already been discussed.

It goes to ST's private stash where they spend money on themselves and not on getting us decent updates. /sarcasm.

No idea tbh.

v And what the post down there says is also true.

They're humans, they need porn!

But seriously..........................
I don't think the money is the problem, it's the management itself.

If thats all then Id be happy to fly to japan and video tape myself making love to their wives so that they can watch it later when they're done with our updates.

One has to ask themselves, do the JP servers get timely updates because they have more people or do they have more people because they get timely updates?!?!?!?

Remember that any AotI updates we get is content that is already on the disk. It just has to be unlocked. No coding involved. They could unlock all of it tomorrow if Unknown-Person-At-Sega-Of-Japan-Who-Is-In-Charge-Of-NA-Updates (or UPATSOJWIICON, for short) tells them too. Everything should already be translated and ready to go.

Seriously, because of that stupid person up there who first joked about 'em needin' pr0m this thread is now messed up. (ok it was messed up from the start anyways)

But yeah again, I don't see any problems with the money. And why move if no money?
Seriously, it's just the management, not the need for money so they can buy lolubartechnology.

Actually, I think it's because they're earning just enough money to pay for the support staff's salary and any operating costs for the servers (e.g. breaking even). They're probably not making much of a profit off of PSU, so there is little motivation for them to really add anything or do anything new and exciting.

Or I could be hallucinating, I dunno.

all they would have to do to fix that problem would be to "give us the updates!"

most of those that quit would most likely re-subscribe and they could start earning some $ again

ISP, computer repairs, electricity bill (damn thats gonna be high). i bet they wouldn't care what happened to us or sega, as long as they got payed (referring to the outside companies)

Generally speaking i kinda feel sorry for sega, i mean look at the genesis and up >.< hard times.

if anything they should start adverting for other companies, like Tellus, and such to earn a little extra cash.
