MAG2 Leaderboards Minimum Killcount

Well here comes th second round of MAG!

I never tried to get spread needle really I was planning on buying one instead (because its less work to farm rattlesnakes/needle cannons for money to buy one than to do the ldr boards)

but im gonna go try to get one this time since i now have a second chance :D

Well there is a lot of people I know that really really dont wanna spam C's again for leaderbaords, they got their Spread and they are done. Im sure there are more out there(i know the 065 but im sure there are more people sick of it than 065's going for the gun). There is also 1 less week.

The bottom of the leaderbaords was 137,570 kills. What do u guys think the bottom will be this time?

Im thinking around 110,000 but i dont doubt it being lower, ubt it might not be much lower cuz there was also a lot of people who didnt make it :S

I didn't go for it the first time, and I don't plan on shooting for it this time either. I imagine the minimum being a lot lower though as far less people will be playing it this time and make less competition.

yup im gonna go for maybe around 120k kills the first week so i have the other 2 to etiher not play or do S runs lol (or if i really want to i can get a second one lol possibly a 3rd but i doubt it)

Well, and MAG2 has less 1 week than the 1st one, so I guess it will be a lower minimum score, maybe below 100k.

Good plan, I'll be simliar to that. I'd try for number 1 (lol) but i wanna get my 2nd Spread Needle, and get another for a friend xD

Well, since the end of the 1st MAG, I remember getting on with my second character, Daisuki. 130k and she had gotten on as "NEW" ... which I thought rocked. >>; Being the only "NEW" dude on there. The place was 498, I believe. =D .. With an alt.. <<
Anyways, I'm going to say that the minimum kill count will be close to 100k. Possibly a bit less, but I'm going to say real close to 100k. ^^

XD I was included in that 065 mess. Was out for over a week. =/ Eight bloody days. Sheesh. I was happy to get two characters on after that. x_x;

I'm guessing 100-110. Even though all this time without any updates has kind of sucked, it's good (for me at least) that we got a good break between the two events. Now I can spam C and not be sick of it right away.:D

One thing people don't take into account is that we've already had this event for 5 weeks. People are going to burn out a lot faster than they did last time.

Well I didnt participate in the first MAG due to my sabbatical and now that Im back for a shortened version of it, my expectations arent too high.
I know Im not going to get on the leaderboard due to the sheer fact I have no intentions of spamming c runs over and over again.
Hopefully there will be people out there doing S runs so I can enjoy the event, instead of viewing it as another grindfest for three weeks.
Anyone share the same point of view?

yea if it was top 100 a lot of people wont even bother LOL! top 100 is 200k now not 300k and if so people wont bother and it'll be like 180k for top 100 which is only 50k more than i would try to get LOL not hard :P

anyways the top 100 will be easy because all the HARDCORE players are all pooped out from the first MAG, so all we'll have is a few HARDCORE players from the 065 error :D

in other words due to all the HARDCORE players getting tired of MAG C RUNS, and then all the people who got on 400-500 just wanted 1 needle or was getting a second one. in other words probably out of that 500 i expect less than 100 of those same people to try again :D

everyone else made it lower than 130k.

so i expect this leaderboard to be a lot less lively than the original one XD

so even if they do do top 100 only it shouldnt be too hard anyways

I'm sure there are still people who will run Mag now that it has been announce to return. The number accumulated from kills will be less than what it was last time but I'm sure people will enjoy it.

nah, ruby said once that the main reason he wants to bring back MAG is so we can get the last 2 rewards :P lol

i have a feeling that there will be a significant drop in MAG players when we do get the last reward lol

No No, I guess this time minimum kill per week will be higher by these reasons:
1. all the hardcore still playing and waiting this.
2. it is only 3 weeks, so it mean shorter competition, which is likely to be more firm kill count per week.
3. only 3 weeks would tempt more people to try, while those old people who got it still back to get another because they think this is easier chance.

I hope it is not more then the 120 to 130k range. I never tried to get a spread needle during MAG as I was too busy wasting time on multiple characters and getting nothing done. This time I'm actually going to try to max out at least one of my characters. That should snag me at least 150k kills or so and a nice spread needle to boot.

then after that 15 hours every day :P

I can get about 1.25k kills an hour :S

thats 37.5-40k kills the first 2 days. (depending on how much i play im leaning more for the 40k kills)

its 18.25k kills every day after the first 2 :D

after factoring in my sister's birthday and my brother coming back from japan and my acquiring of the PSP game, i should get about 100-120k kills the first week! :D

the second week i shall spend doing S runs :O the 3rd week will be spent getting w/e left over points i need, and if close enough any points needed for my other character to also get on boards :O

Unless you plan on getting 2, that pace seems a little unecessary. I got my 1st char up to around 160k and then didn't touch him for over two weeks...he slid about 50 spots the entire time and was still in the top 200.

I plan on spamming for the leaderboard and a Needle for the first week or so then leveling my alts to 130 for the rest of the event. If all of them aren't at 130 I will have wasted my extension.

I'm gonna end up buying a needle, and i'll take this time while i'm jobless to try not to fall asleep during MAG and keeping the kill count up. Not sure if I'll do C runs or actually do S runs considering i can still get the NPC drops on any difficulty

I waas 497th at MAG1 and i had 140k kills, 140k in 4 weeks means 105k in 3 weeks in theory, but I don't if more or less pple will try to get it

MAG2's original start date just so happened to fall on vacation time. Then that got pushed back. Now I have a four-day stretch that ends right before MAG2 starts. Virtually guarantees that I'll be working for at least the first 5 days of MAG2.

On the last thursday I stayed up all night, had a final the friday morning, and passed with an A, 91%. ^^; I must be lucky.

I really dont beleive the minimum will even be 100,000 I mean, sure the top 2-300 people will easily get 150+ - 300 even maybe 500 k but those are the hardcore, then you have the "enthusiasts" which should occupy the final couple hundred spots. They watch the leaderboards closely and will only play when necessary and not constantly. I knew TONS of people that did it this way. Ran just enough to keep their characters on life support. On the final day or 2 there will be a surge but since its almost impossible even for the most hardcore players to get more than around 25k kill in one day, I just dont see it getting that high in the bottom spots.
