MAG walkthrough question

What does the switch in the caves do? And why do people stand at it for a while? Is some door being triggered?

at that area you can use the googles to break the rocks. at the end of the rocks is a door and that switch opens it.
this leads to more badges

Oops, I forgot to say which switch. I mean the white one in the room with the breakable rocks and the teleport.

So is that the one that opens the door to the badges. I always just tag it as i pass through but I never noticed what it did.

Why do people sometimes stop at that switch and wait a minute?

It opens the door after the breakable rocks but only for a short time, so someone might be waiting at the switch while another person goes through clearing out the rocks. You can do it with one person but you'd have to go through and break the rocks first, then come back, press the switch, and run through to the door.

Thanks, that answers my question. I guess i never noticed the door being closed because a party member has always been hanging back to hold the switch.
