How much would you realisticly pay to play this game that we all love? And i don't mean along the lines of 'I'd pay any goddam price to play PSO!'. I mean a mature response.
I've already bought an import keyboard at £70($105) in anticipation of the PAL PSO release. I reckon in total i will eventually spend:
£70 Keyboard
£40 PAL PSO disc
£35 BBA
£50 Connection to broadband with GIOinternet
£18 1st monthly fee for broadband
That's £213 in total, roughly $300 to you US players. When i told my girlfriend how much it will cost she wasn't too pleased. In fact everyone i know thinks i'm mad for paying this just to play a video game, sod 'em. Realisticly i'd probably spend up to £400-£500. Damn it! This PSO costs money and hours! Oh and i forget i've gotta pay for the Hunters License yet!
So how much would you pay up to? taking in to consideration your budget, job, bills, you're a kid etc?

BTW, that question mark symbol is meant to be a UK pound sign. Must be something wrong with my computers keyboard.

for me march 7th means:
cube: 160-180 euro
pso: 50-60 euro
bba: 50 euro
modem: 50 euro (i'll buy both and i hope i get them cheaper somewhere...)
keyboard i got allready for astonishing 60 euro
--------
so i hope i get away with around 300 euro (without keyboard), could be also 330 euro, i dont know yet...

monthly this would mean:
modem: HL + 5 euros + 1/2 cent per min (in the night) (which i'm using right now and can sum up to 40 euro per month)
bba: HL + 55 euros + nothing (dsl-flatrate) (what i dont plan to install at my home, but may use at a friends home for free ^_^;)

ah, and yes, me being student i have not the biggest income... no parttime job as well yet so i saved money for 4 months or so (since there are also other things to be paid - rent+monthly bills, clothings, university etc...).
hm... is this really what you wanted to know?

edit: (hl +) ah yes: 1 euro = 1 us $ = 1*2/3 british pound...

I'll be paying nothing for the actual game (Getting it for my birthday on March 14th), the Hunter's Licence fee will be paid by me if I can use an Electron Debit Card to pay, and I'll also be buying the PSO Super Happy Fun Box (http://www.pantsofevilgamers.com/kb) when that comes out.

I've paid alot of money for PSO, so far:

JP ver 1 w/ modem = $168.84 AUD

ASCII keyboard = 128.64 AUD

Cost for having PSO and keyboard sent to me (via fedex & UPS) = $66.23

2 HL purchases so far = $30.00 AUD

Cost for sending ver 1 to JP for ver 1.1 via EMS = $49.00 AUD

Probably will be spending another $30 AUD to have ver 1.1 sent back, plus a further $15 for a new HL.

So all up? About close to $500. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

So, It seems excluding the price of the Gamecube console it costs us all about 200 pounds/$300/300 euros to play PSO. That's a lot of money to play a single game. It's a good job it's worth it.

I have spent... let me see... nearly $250 on the game.
I had to drill through reinforced 1 ft thick masonry, that was a pain.

Got my GCN more than A year ago

GCN 200$
PSO 50$
No keyboard, I've gotten pretty handy with the software pad (20 - 30 WPM)
Modem 35$
hunter's Liscence 120$ annually.
-----------------------------------------------
400$ on the first year.

I have a job and I'm still in high school, the only thing I didn't pay for was the Hunter's Liscence. So no rent, bills, etc. It's not too bad for me!
