In other words, you're looking for the PC equiv of the GCN's graphics chip?

The GC uses a custom built chip known as Flipper. As far as I know, the actual specs for it haven't been released.

The gamecube GPU is based around the ATI Radeon 7000 series, with slight modifications, which is about the equiv of a pc Geforce 2 MX but with a little more juice.

The xbox GPU is based on the Geforce series, while its mostly said its closest to the nv25 chipset (geforce 3 and 4), its accualy has more in common with the nv30 (geforce fx) in terms of graphical features. The GPU's bandwidth however is closer to the GF3

So basicly your getting the nv30 running at a lower clock speed, its also a 256 bit gpu, while the gc is 128, but as we all know bits are a marketting ploy which should not be considered when speaking of raw power in the case of a console, for instance the xbox cpu is only 32 bit, while the ps2's emotion engine is 128
