If we can get enough people, maybe we could throw together a Boatmurdered Mk.II and see what kind of crazy shit we can pull off.

Anyone interested?

I'll up for it, but looking at the wiki site, I'm afraid I'll get bored with graphics. I don't do those super low-fi code graphics very well.

I'll need some guidance too, as I've never played Dwarf Fortress before.

I've uploaded a zip of my own DF folder:

http://rapidshare.com/files/142609773/Dwarf_Fortress.rar.html

This contains a custom tileset to make thing easily recognizable, a pregenerated world, and a fort in process, so you can quickly take a little glance at an average fortress layout. Once you're done exploring, press ESC, say you want to abandon that fort, then go ahead and begin a new one.

For getting started, check out Dwarf Fortress Wiki (http://www.dwarffortresswiki.net/index.php/Main_Page). There's a guide on there for preparing your first fort. Of course, the first few times you try yourself at it, you will fail, and hard. But the goal is to eventually control the method of failing. Right now I'm busy making my dwarves a giant underwater glass tomb, and I'll lock them all inside once it's complete.
