Leveling up...

When you level up are the stats you gain based on your race or class?

And after I defeat a boss what is that bar that fills up? I see it level up and it's stats just change to my current ones.

That red bar that fills up after you beat a boss is your job class and when you level your job class up that makes your overall stats go up.

I think he means the stats that you see scrolling upon leveling, where you usually see +2, +3, etc.

Those, I'm pretty sure, are also class-dependent.
