Wrapping items in Gallons shop

Hey, just wondered if the items you wrap get changed any or just stay exactly the same but look cool when you drop them? yeah, I know, silly question, but I got a dragon slayer for my roommate and thought the Present box would be a nice touch. any quick replies?

The original item is uneffected and will pop out of the present, when used, as it originally appeared before being wrapped.

Also, if you drop the item on the ground while still in present form, it will show it's true Star value.

Like if you wrapped a Heaven Punisher and dropped it, it would be a 12 star present.
