What is the difference between the rifle and the shot?(besides the power and stuff like that)

The only difference is appearance and stats. The 3000R (R for Rifle) is easy enough to understand. On the other hand the 7000V (no clue what the V stands for), though a pump-action shotgun appearance-wise, is also a rifle-class weapon in how it's held and fired.

I have heard that the 7000v has messed up auto-aim, and that it does indeed only fire one shot. I'm not sure if it goes through a line like a photon launcher. The general consensus appears to be that the 7000v is the worst Yasminkov (as compared to the handgun, rifle, and mechgun).

Ok ok.

The 3000R is a RIFLE-TYPE weapon. Simple
The 7000V looks like a real life shotgun but it IS A RIFLE TYPE. The 7000V indeed does have an extended area where if you're close it will turn you in the proper direction to fire.

The 7000V is better for newbies, because of the way it auto locks.

I only found out 5 minutes ago when I found out they classified it as a shot.

If it is a weapon modeled like a real shotgun, wouldn't it be realistic for it to fire at only one enemy? Kinda like it bursts but all the pellets hit one enemy?

Im just taking as guess at it here, as i've never seen the weapon before.

That's logical.

Think of it as a shotgun loaded out with 1oz slugs instead of buckshot. It has much less range than a rifle, but it still shoots further than a shot. I've seen the auto target feature on it - basically, point it in their general direction and you won't miss (not counting the monster's EVP or your ATA).

yes i was wondering this myself... i own both models.. and i havent use the 7000v extensivly "not enough ATA yet on my RAmarl" but i was thinking since it is a shotgun type wep.. prehaps it does have some small spread damage to it... I myself will find out in about 20 more levels =)
