I have wondered what challenge mode would be like if it was set in ult mode.

What level would you start at?
What weapons&Techs would you have?
What suppiles and armor or frames/barrier or shields would you get?
What kind of time limits would be considered fast?
What would a MAG be like, what stats and would it have mag attacks?
Finally how many scrape doll might you start with?

Would anyone care to chime in on these questions and anything else you would care to add to this idea to make it better.

Or is this idea so crazy it would never work...

I can tell you the rewards you'd get...

S-rank armors/shields.

On top of the naming thing, you'd have a 'Resistance Point System'.

Armors: Around 110 resistance points you could place where you'd like.
Shields: ~80 resistance points you could place where you'd like.

Level 70 for Online Ultimate is just not realistic, I'm afraid.
What's the minimum on the servers again? Lv90? That would be a start for C1.
After that, just have a 5 lv increment for each challenge - c9 would start at lv 130, which would be... ok, I guess. Sure, the forces will need the HP mats, but it's not unrealistic to get 2-5 of them in a run - which would suffice for any class but Fomar.
Equips: Ult Frame - Ult Shield for the classes that can wield it.
Weapons: Random 9 stars rare with Hit and stage related attribute (random - between 30 and 60%)
Mag would be a lv 100 special mag (see 4th evolution ID mags) with 5 lv increments for each stage as well.
Time limit: No idea, needs investigating.
Prizes:
Rank B: Any of Paganini's items OR any S rank special if you have one in your inventory
Rank A: Maxed out armor, within the bounds of what your char can equip at that level.
Rank S: Adds 25% hit to any weapon of your choice (inventory or bank), but impossible to cumulate.

Oh, is online harder than offline? I only play offline and I started ultimate mode at level 71. Maybe it should be 90 though...

There. I changed it.

On PSOBB the level requirement to enter ultimate is 90, on GC, it's 80. And yes, online/multi-player offline is harder than single player offline.

I do like that hit percent deal, Saffran. ;3

Thanks for clearing that up Hero. I need to start playing online eventually... :(

No problem, Gimph. It's just that after a look into the calculator, a lv 70 anything wouldn't deal proper damage - maybe not even hit the ennemies.

TOH, yeah, the H% deal is sweet. ;)

It would be funny if you have some people in a game to do C-mode, and you somehow changed their difficulty level to Ultimate.

I'd love to see a team of C-mode players start the forest at level 1, and stare in shock as a Bartle rushes toward them.
