Can anyone tell me where I can find a mag guide for PSO on the DC. Also I can't remember if the spread needle, and Heavan's Punishment were obtainable offline.

Spread Needle (http://www.pso-world.com/items.php?op=viewarticle&artid=83&sortby=name) and Heaven's Punisher (http://www.pso-world.com/items.php?op=viewarticle&artid=136&sortby=name) seem to both be available offline for DC. (Scroll down to see the DC drops.)

Yes they are avaiable, spread needle is worthless for ultimate mode (not to mention it's a very rare item), so a s-rank needle is way better, as for the heaven punisher, it's insanely rare

I don't remember an Ultimate mode for PSO. Ultimate was added in v2 if I remember correctly.

Yea, I said I was dusting off my DC to play Phantasy Star, not v2. Sorry for any confusions.

Wow sorry to hear that. PSO on the DC brings back some of the best memories I had as a teen. Me my brother, and my father got it the day it was released. We played for day one til the final closing day. We spent a huge number of hours playing. My father was the very first person on the US servers to get a spread needle. He had it stolen a few days after he got it. Him and my brother were always the lucky ones.

DC was definitely a different beast, it seemed that the exp curve on DC was much more difficult than GC let alone that there were not class based bonuses to speak of. Now i want to get v1 or v2 going again as well...

Ver.3 (gc/pso bb/ xbox) - until lvl 100 everything is normal, but at lvl 100 you need more exp then on ver.2, after that everything remains with a normal exp increase and at a certain lvl (the last few levels) the exp requirement increases to a very high number, up to 4.000.000 exp.

ver.2- every thing seems normal until lvl 99, after that the exp requirement increases in such a way that at lvl 103 you need 2X more exp then to lvl up to 99, the fast increase at 10.000 / 15.000 exp per level makes lvling alot slower, however at lvl 199 the TNL is half that in ver.2

As a side note, the total exp in ver.3 is 83 million while on ver.2 is 96 million, take in consideration that bosses give more exp on ver.3 and that rare enemys are more common.~

EXP values can be seen here:
Ver.2, includes total exp: http://www.pso-world.de/level-up_pso_version2_dreamcast.php
Ver.3, does not include total exp at the time: http://www.pso-world.de/level-up.php

Well since I can not play PSO online, does anyone know another method of getting items found only online? Or transfering items between characters?

Ver.1 then?
Well ver.1 doesnt have a way to transfer items unless you play online with 2 dreamcasts or give the itmes to someone else.

As for online only items, does ver.1 have any at all?
