Hey everyone, long time no see!

I'm a little peeved, it seems most ISPs don't allow servers to be run in them anymore. So, with this, I cannot run and own my own web server now - I need to purchase a host again.

So, I come asking who everyone's preference is - I used to use eDataRack, but that's a little sketch now.

Important things are:
PHP
FTP
MySQL

Things I'd like:
Cron
Virtual Servers (I can dream...)

Anyone got a host they've liked?

I used http://www.awardspace.com/ in the past. It includes MySQL, PHP, FTP, Jomba! (a CMS that creates PHP scripts for you) and Frontpage. It allows you to register domains and gives you free subdomains and some packages give you free domains as well. Offers a lot of space for a cheap price (the highest package they have is 8.99 a month and gives you 200 GB worth of space and 3000 GB of bandwidth.)

Always used www.1and1.com and they've been awesome.

I agree with 1and1!
It's so super cheap too, and it has 24hr phone support if you can understand them mostly. I've had my sites on there for years and it doesn't break or get difficult to use. (has tons of space on the cheap packages too) I don't know if it has crons in it though because my web design is usually rather simple.
