I'm currently interested in getting version FiOS and yes the address that I live at has qualified. Here's my dilemma tho, on the verison website they only give the option for Direct TV service and I don't want it. I'm satisfied with just regular basic cable 1-70 channels. I don't need 500 plus channels but some of the basic ones I would like upgraded (example: discovery channel in HD) since I have a HD TV. But I can't find anywhere on the verison website that shows they have a basic cable option. So can anyone here who actually has verison FiOS tell if the basic cable option is available and is it possible to get select HD channels along with my basic cable? Also why would I need a digital receiver box to get digital channels when I already have one built into my HD TV to receive digital channels? Seems a little flakey to me .
