Are Rare Lillies Concealed When Closed?

Sorry for the confusing question. What I mean is are they always green and just Red/Purpleish when they open up or can you tell a rare Lily from a normal one when they are closed? I have seen 2 Mil and 1 Nar Lily before but they were far away and I just shot.

I just drained my Tp 5 times casting TPs in Ult Temple. That would be 1010/10=101*5=505*4=2020 Lilys. Now you're probally thinking this kid has bad luck, very bad luck. Well this is the third day in a row I've had the patience to do this. 6060 frickin' Lilys. Not too mention the numerous times I piped Addicting Food and Waterfall Tears.

The TP trick never works for me.

Well the appearance change of a Mil Lily from an Ob Lily is easily seen if you aren't color blind ><. The stalk is blueish purple, and the leaves/pedals are blueish as well. Looks a far cry from a normal Ob Lily. I don't have a clue what you could be doing wrong.

Sigh, that's what I thought. I was kinda hoping I was piping some and just didn't know you couldnt tell the difference. But since you can...I've got some shitty luck.

Does beat time have anything to do with any of the rare monsters???

Some people theorize that beat times directly correspond to rare enemy occurances, and rare item drops... I personally have only had one positive experience with beat matching. A friend got a Star Fragment at 10:45 and he told me to do a caves run at 10:45 the next day and I found a Stag Cutlery... nothing fancy so I'm not even sure if it correlated or anything... but I'd like to think it had something to do with it.. that way hunting rares could be given a schedule, etc...
