Damn I wish I could give that to someone but I'm an ex of the girl I wanted to give something like that to http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_cry.gif

Flowers is really good. Maybe a single rose and a card would be nice. I gotta decide quick for my new boo in my life. I myself usually write a poem for the occassion for me being a musician. I did a song once but that went out of control i.e. as in don't let other girls peep your song before you give it to someone. Mixed messages were like "no really was this for me?" LOL

A single rose combo'ed with a card with a really good quote is a good (and cheap) way to go for me http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Now the question for me is: will I remember to get it? LOL heheheeh

What is this "Valentine's Day?"

I have always felt flowers to be a little sad. They wilt and die way to quickly. If you are thinking the flowers route... my advice is to find a nice looking flower that is alive. As in, potted. With dirt and everything.

Making something is always a hit. In fact, I can almost garauntee that making something will give you more points with her than buying anything. Unless of course she is insanly vain and materialistic. In which case, why are you dating her??? Making something is more personal and says you spent more time considering what to do than just running off to the florist the day of and grabbing a few roses.

The lingerie thing can be . . . interesting http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/blush.gif, but make sure of where you stand with her before trying that route. And I would definatly do a nice dinner before you ummmmm . . . drop it on her. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Which brings me to dinner itself. We love it when you show us that you can cook. Plan your time right and cook us a nice dinner. It is amazing how easy it is to cook an incredibly fancy dinner with some nice pasta and wine.

anyway... those are my suggestions. Hope that helps someone.

Heh. I gave a girl plastic flowers because she mentioned to me that anything she tries to grow always ends up dying.

Thing is, the flowers are so fake-looking, it's almost mocking her. XD

Good thing we're not going out, otherwise she might have slapped me. ^_^;

for the women out there, which of these would be the best present?

1. a puppy
2. candies
3. a self-made song
4. a self-made card
or 5. some horribly cute....thing. doesnt matter, as long as its cute.

just wondering, so yeah.

Anything personal and individualised is a great gift. Flowers, candy, etc..I never understood why there had to be a special occasion to give them to someone.

I think you could surprise someone with flowers on any day, and then go for the added meaning and give them something that you yourself did for them specifically.

If you put the effort into it, and it has meaning and intention behind it, thats the best gift you can give someone. =)

Never, ever, ever, ever give someone a dog/cat/rabit/iguana/whatever as a gift.

a puppy is not a gift, it's a lifelong responsibility, it's like giving her a kid. for 15 years or so.

I'm assuming that when you say floored it is a good thing.

"Oh Subliminalgroove Subliminalgroove,
Why is it that you swoon me with your moves?
Your eyes are filled alluring light,
That can disperse any form of blight.
You face is so smooth and pure,
That when I touch it feels like a cure.
Your voluptuous body stands out from all others,
It makes all other women cry to thier mothers.
Oh Sublimalgroove I love you,
Won't you be mine?

Hm. I know how to make rings out of wire and beads. I use pliers to make them, and this nifty difty handy dandy ring sizing tool. I had a pic of some rings I made, but my scanner's broken... ;_;

I can also make necklaces and bracelets out of hemp. Beads are an extra $.25. :P

Roses are red
Roses are thorny
When I see you
It makes me so ...... happy.

The best gift to give is nothing. Valentine's is a Hallmark-created holiday and only exists so companies can leech you for more money. If everyone would wake up and realize that, we could get rid of money-wasting holidays like this. Sheez. Alas, people will never be enlightened as a brilliant man like myself, so enjoy your crappy heart-shaped chocolate. e.e

Oh god, that brought me to tears. That's hilarious! I didn't even pick up on the off-color part for another 30 seconds or so, hehe. Yeah. Can't really go wrong with the flowers, but you know those new Build-A-Bear animals are a really clever idea. FreakinRican made one of those for me and it's the cutest thing to ever cute. Hehe.

I agree whole heartedly, my friends. But there is one problem. The reason that many women itch for this holiday is because it is the only time many of you men do ANYTHING that even borders on the romantic. You could skip more of these days if you did a few more romantic things with the lady in your life during the year. Next time your lady is having a bad day, do something special to sweep her off her feet.

For example: My sophmore year of college was not a very happy one. On a particularly bad day, I got home from all the various activities and classes around 10:30 pm. I wanted to shoot myself. I slump down at my computer for a night of glarring at the computer screen. My boyfriend begs me to come over to his place... GRRRRR now I got to go across campus to see what he wants. When I show up at the door, he is there in a tuxedo, his room lit only by candles, a box of Fruity-Pebbles and two bowls on his table, and one of my favorite songs playing on his stereo. I cried I was so overcome with happiness that he did something like that for me, especially on a day that had sucked horribly.
We ate fruity-pebbles, danced, and talked. It was one of the most romantic things that has ever happend to me. And how much did it cost him? 2 bowls of fruity-pebbles and some milk.

Romance doesn't have to be commercial or expensive, guys. Its much better when it isn't.

omg, that is soooo sweet! ^.^ <3 *heart* wish i had a guy do that for me just once.

it's funny how many guys don't bother with us chics these days; usually we just send each other a valentine to cheer each other up. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif but i admire guys who walk in school uniform, to a private girl's high school and give flowers to his girlfriend. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif now that was cute.

You people may like valentines day, but for the guys who get shot down 3/4 of the time where the last 1/4 is out of pity, it sucks wind. MAJOR wind. Grumble grumble grumble...
I'm not looking for much, just someone who isn't a total bimbo and will give me a chance. They don't have to be a hottie (well, they should be kinda cute. It's superficial, I know). Just someone who will listen to me, and someone I can actually get a chance to be romantic with... With my luck, nobody's gonna read this post.
