Hey guys, I just wanted to know which you though was better overall, a HUnewearl or a HUmarl? I am trying to figure out which one to make, but I'm torn between the two. Any opinions or stats would be very helpful.

Stat comparisons at level 100.

HUmarl/HUnewearl
HP: 685/653
PP: 428/501
Power: 450/405
Guard: 230/203
Hit: 255/278
Swift: 252/327 (Highest in the game)
Mind: 307/377
Total: 2606/2745 (Highest in the game)
Bonus: 20 more mats can be used/Natural PP regen.

It all really boils down to if you want a char to do more damage and take slightly less damage, or if you want a char that dodges most attacks and can live much longer due to PP regen + powerful resta.

Personally I'd go HUnewearl, but I've always been biased towards them.

HUnewearls can also use high rarity gunslashes while humarls can't

Thanks, I have always had a HUnewearl in PSO and I was just wondering if HUmarl have more advantages.

That's a good point, hmm. Thanks for the help!

HUmarls can use Mechguns though. I like the PP regen for HUnewearls and had one in PSO, so it's decided for me :)

I say make both, Humarl and Huney look best too IMO.

While I would say HUnewearls are better, PP regen is hardly a great reason I would use to pick a character. Race regen is terrible while moving, it only really kicks in if you stand still. On the other hand just get a lv 5 PP regen unit and get 5 PP regen while moving.
Really HP/PP Race regen in this game sucks, the units far outperform it.

I guess those units are drop only, right? Not sure how to identify them though, as I did not found a translation guide for Slot Items.

Dont worry if you cant read Japanese you should still be able to make them out as the units names are "PPリカバリーLV5" or "PPリカバリーLV3" etc. so you'll know if you pick one up. :)
They are all drops from the last story area.

To be more specific, the large white monsters with swords will drop them. I don't think their black versions drop them. The best way to farm this is to do the last mission until you get to the bridge between the black zone and the white zone. There's always one of the giant white monsters there. I have found the rare version on that bridge a few times as well.

From what I've noticed, up to level 3 pp regen can be found in Hard mode, while level 4 pp regen is dropped from the rare version (so I've read). I'd assume you would -/+ 1 to the level depending on if you're in Normal/Super Hard mode for the highest level of pp regen dropped.

Well, besides the naturally higher EVP and MST and PP regen. Both Newman Hunters are able to use some late game rods (They can only be used by Forces otherwise) which boost their already high MST much higher than any other Non-force character. I imagne that this along with the PP regen allows them to do some decent tech damage even at higher difficulties.

But since I don't have the game yet, I won't know for sure...>.> (Nvm it came in today, lol)
