Hey everybody, details on the newest download mission for Janurary 29th have been posted:

Single Player Annihilation Mission
"Treasure of Ancient Times"

A virtual reality program containing a record from ancient times to the present has been discovered in a Relics site. A representation of an alter is included in the program and it has been confirmed that a rare weapon is enshired there. We would like you to perform a detailed survey.

Sounds interesting.

I bet its the Elysion.
Has to be.
Without a doubt.
100% certain.

The problem I find is, the discriptions usually are nice, and sound exciting. Then you play the mission, and its pretty rubbish. I just hope this is better than Forest Maze.

If they didn't make it sound exciting, would you want to play it? "There's a dragon, go kill it!"

Has anyone opened that area that has the piano music playing in the background? It seems like you need something to open the door, but I can't read the Kanji.

Wow, this is looks like a tough one. You need to bring weapons with you to access the various terminals. To access the first terminal you need to have the Lavis Cannon, Lavis Blade, Twin Cannon, and Double Cannon with you. After that terminal are two more, one that will give you the Ardel Arrow and one to give you the Ardel Fusil (these names are probably wrong but I'm too tired to look their names up now). You need another 5 different weapons to access those terminals.

The Double Cannon isnt out yet... lame.
I'm guessing thats where you get the Elysion from then.

I had a feeling it would be the Erdel weapons. However, are you saying that Sega gave us a mission that is completely and utterly useless, being that you can't access these weapons without the Double Cannon? If that's the case, then why would they release this mission now, instead of saving this until after we can get the Double Cannon?

Mike

Because you can apparently get the Double Cannon as a reward for completing the mission. I'm at work now but those of you who aren't should get cracking. :p

Well it looks like the only one you can get right now is the Erdel Harp, all the weapons it requires are out already.
One of the Erdel Fusil requirements is Milla apparently, which isnt out, and nobody seems to know how to get a Double Cannon from this mission.

Which weapons are needed for the Erdel Harp?

If someone manages to get the last Cannon, would you post the %s? I'm curious as to if it's a set number or not.

For the Harp, you need Prophets of Moatoob, Cajusis (Cadecus?), Verosescud (Longbow, this name isn't right though), Dreamcast, and the Gigas Spinner.

Woo, first run through netted me a Double Cannon! I went through as a FM, cleared every box, enemy, and got every key. The Double Cannon came at 44% dark. Picked up a Sonichi, Red/Knight, and the cast casino gear from the boss boxes. Woo.

I did my first run with my Protranser and and acquired a Soniti (extremely overpowered for an A rank RCSM, by the way), and am about to do my run with my Force to get this Erdel Harp. I do have a few questions about this mission though.

1. Where is this door where you have to have certain weapons to get the Erdel weapons? Granted, I didn't go everywhere, but I explored a fair amount and didn't see it.
2. For getting the harp, would the bow that you were talking about be the Velos Esquede?
3. What exactly is the harp? A wand maybe?
4. Are any of the items required for the Erdel Arrow not released yet? Any idea what they are?

Thanks in advance.

Oh btw my mistake, when I said Erdel Harp I meant Erdel Arrow...
I was getting mixed up with the Erdel Harp material you need to synth it on PSU.

The weapons for the Erdel Arrow are all available to find

Pophets of Motav (Wand)
Cadeceus (Rod)
Velos Esquade (Long Bow)
Dreamcast (RCSM)
Gigas Spinner (Whip)

So theres just two Erdel items; Erdel Arrow (Bow) and Erdel Fusil (Rifle). Then the Elysion, although nobody has mentioned getting it from the Lavis door... c'mon Mike! :P

I'm working on it. The PSP Bible says the Milla comes out of the Crazed Followers mission as an acromaster, so I'm spamming that at the moment.

Edit: Bleh, I think it's a misprint. Stupid official guides never being right :p

I found the Double Cannon (and the wonderful rare map filled with every kind of rare monsters) but I can't find the door that supposes you to carry certain items in order to open it. Where is it? >_<

And where is this?

RuneseekerMireille

Mike, I think it's one of those rare enemy spawns, like Rappy Igg. (Just a guess; I've never seen it myself.)

I'm stuck on the mystery that is the Double Cannon. Out of all of my characters that have finished this level (Acromaster, Protranser, Masterforce, Fightmaster, and Gunmaster), only my Masterforce acquired the Double Cannon. I've done what Mike has, and beaten every enemy and picked up every key with the rest of my characters, and yet I still don't have it. My only guess is that it has something to do with how fast you can beat De Rol Le, but this seems highly unlikely seeing as how Mike aquired this as a Fightmaster, which have to wait on De Rol Le so they can hit him. So my question to anyone who has aquired the Double Cannon is this: Approximately how long did it take you to beat De Rol Le on that run?

Oh, yes, the door to what I call the "Garden of Erdel" is in the second area, that is designed like the Endrum Remnants area, behind a four key door. Two of the keys you get from fighting enemies, and the other two are hidden behind false walls. These false walls are behind the scorpion-like enemies, one at the beginning of the level, and one near the four key door.

Yeah, I just got the rare spawn of this map myself, its pretty awesome. You get 4 Darbelans, 2 Rappy Iggs, 6 or 7 Rappies, 6 or 7 Jaggos, and 4 Delnadians!! (Finally got a Soul Banish, two infact!)

I got a Double Cannon from this mission twice now, both times it had the same 44% so I guess thats what it always has. I'm also a Fighmaster so I have no idea what triggers it because I spent ages with De Rol, I even did stuff different on both runs, however I've also run this mission once and not got the Double Cannon...

Gah. I recorded the whole mission but I screwed up the recording D:
Ah well, Erdel Arrow is mine! I'll have to look for those rare spawns now.

For anybody whose looking for the Double Cannon, I think I have found the answer. In the desert section of the level, there is a card key near the end of that area that unlocks an area near the middle of the map. DON'T use this key; in fact, don't take it at all. Make sure you defeat every enemy in the mission, except for them. I have done this three times with my characters, and each of them have gotten the Double Cannon in return.

Has there ever been a number that has been associated with the Lavis weapons? My guess is that whatever that number is, that would be the number of enemies that you kill with this method.

Or I maybe have just gotten extremely lucky, but I consider myself to be quite an unlucky individual, so I don't think that this is the case.

A little off-topic, but I have just gotten the Erdel Arrow, but I have been looking for Chousei-sou in the Grove of Fanatics mission, and have had no luck finding it. Do you have to be a certain class to obtain it as an area drop? Any help would be appreciated.

I am going to try to see if this is true, when I try again as my Fightmaster, but I barely survived with him last time, so I'm going to raise him a couple more levels.
I anybody could confirm or disprove this, that would also be appreciated.

Milla huh? That's that S-rank handgun that only females can use? I think I have one... but I don't have a double cannon or any inkling as to how to use those items to get whatever y'all are talking about.

Edit: I have done the mission a few times and no double cannon. Will continue to do it until I get it. Regarding the items I need to bring to the block 2 place, Lavis Cannon, Lavis Blades, Double Cannon, Twin Cannon, and Milla? Let me know if that's correct. Also, I kill De Rol Li in less than 2 minutes. I don't think that's the factor for getting the Double Cannon... unless I kill it in 1 minutes :D

It's probably the Guld that you have. Unless you've managed to find something that no one else has found yet. (In which case, picturez nao). You'll have to have the four Lavis weapons to open the door, then five other weapons to activate the terminals. For the Fusil, along with the Milla, you need the Skull Sorcerer, Spread Needle, Kaiser Viera, and Nug-2000 Bazooka. For the Arrow, see a previous post in this topic. Sodandy posted them.

Ahh that clears up a lot.

I do have the Guld and not the Milla (after checking the stats).
