How/where to find rare items

There was a thread that mentioned a Jpaanese page which list all the rare items and the section ID's which gets them. (http://http://game.where-i.net/dc/pso) Within that page are some info that should be interesting to everyone:

1 - To increase the chance of getting rare, clear 5 areas first:

Forest 1,2 makes 2 areas
Cave 1,2,3 makes 3 areas
Mine 1,2 makes 2 areas

So if you cleared Forest then Cave (together makes 5 areas cleared), when you play Mine or Ruins your chance of finding rares would be higher.

2 - If you finish all the quests in all difficulties, your chance of finding rares would also increase. (But is it worth the 60+ hours?)

3 - The following areas are told to be more prone for finding rares:

Normal mode - Ruins
Hard mode - Mine, Ruins
V.Hard mode - All Stages

4 - Chance of finding rares increases if you leave boxes un-opened.

before i read this, I actually did what #4 mentioned.. but couldn't tell the difference.. I even tried to use lower level weapon.. I thought that may increase my chance of finding a better rare.. I think I was using a Gladius in Ruin on Hard mode... and I got a Fake Agito. But after that.. same old crap.. so I don't really know if using a lower level weapon does really matter or not... (I even used Pallacsh but too weak.. and I was level 90 or something..) haha...
