Synthesis Questions?!?

Ok so me and most of my friends have level 100 striking bots, not that is an accomplishment or anything, but one of my friends has a level 0 bot, completely basic and has been pulling out 50% double agito's/Bil De Axes/Armor....
So we figure"What the heck, lets go for it!"
EXAMPLES:
One of my friends sells all of his 30%^ rucars, All of his axes, and lots of mats and buys a buncha double agito boards, Catilium, Rucar boards, Rucar blades, goldania etc. and failed about half of them in a level 100 bot, and the rest made 26% and below...Now this friend is quitting because he has no money left or weapons, and too boot he lost 4 gold yesterday at casino...

Another friend spent all of his money on Rucar boards, blades, goldania etc. A few came out 14% and the rest failed to Okiku Dolls...IN A LEVEL 100 BOT!!!

Luckily i still have all of my boards/blades/mats in storage and havent started this meseta massacre...

Whats the deal with that??

Someone else posted that it might be time-based. I've noticed this a few other times also where if I synth 2 melee weapons at the same time and pull them out together, they're usually the same percentage (or at least pretty close to it). I was hoping to get a bit of a stronger confirmation yesterday (and hoping to get it on the weapon I made yesterday) but when I pulled out my 2 weapons, a blumier and a kusanagira (the 9* Yohmei saber) the dagger was 46% and the saber....... failed. Got a ydral out of it, but personally I was hoping for the saber a bit more, as I don't usually do single daggers.

Still, has anyone else noticed this? Or maybe it's just me?

awhile back i pulled out 2 blackhearts at exactly 2:00AM EST and they both came out 40% ^^;
I havent experimented more on that tho

I was told in another thread that the % is a bell curve... something like:

26%/28% - 9
24%/30% - 8
22%/32% - 7
20%/34% - 6
18%/36% - 5
16%/38% - 4
14%/42% - 3
12%/46% - 2
10%/50% - 1

But it's a little more stacked toward the ends. I really want to take some data on this... but I got caught up with the Carnival to really get any data... I mean you'd have to synth 100's of weapons to see a pattern.

I'm talking about pulling both out at once, they usually end up at or around the same percentage. I don't exactly keep track of when I synth or when I pull them out, so no real help there, but I CAN say that I probably started making them around 6:00 pm EST, and maybe pulled them out around 9:00 - 9:20 pm that same night.

It's luck, and I don't mean Photon Fortune. It would be kinda stupid if ST made it time-based since once people figure out the pattern everyone can pull out 50%s all the time. Then again, this is ST we're talking about so who knows...

Eh, I'm not too worried about it. I'm happy if I can synth a weapon at all, and I'm usually happy no matter the results because I'm making it in the element I want it in, so no biggie there. Still, I think that's my highest percentage weapon I have (aside from an old twin f. bulb I have) and it's definitely the highest I've made. Either way, it's a win for me.

I always tell people that you just have to get lucky. Whether you synth fifty blackhearts or one blackhearts you still have the same chance to get a 50% elemental attribute. The gang at Sonic Team aren't smart enough to make an intuative, skill based sythesis system.
