There are no MAGs in this game. There are weapons that resemble them, Madoogs, they are used for casting techs, there are also Shadoogs, which fire at the enemy automatically and inflict status. A virus or fire Shadoog is good to bring along. To unequip a weapon, just select it, choose 'add to palette', then press X again.
